The resort at La Pointe Aux Canonniers is set on the north west side of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, near Grand' Baie, 2000 km South-east of the African coast and to the East of Madagascar. Club Med also has another resort just completed, Club Med Albion at nearby Grand' Baie.

The resort has 281 rooms and is suitable for families, couples and singles with a wide range of room styles. All rooms are air-conditioned and many open onto a private balcony or terrace overlooking the sea or lush tropical gardens. Many have connecting rooms for families with children.

Dining
Club Med Mauritius provides a restaurant with varied buffets, beach restaurant and 3 bars including one open to midnight and a nightclub with a live band. Dining is one of the biggest delights at the resort, and the chefs excel in the variety and quality of food.

The meals are served in a large communal dining room, and most are smorgasbord. There's a huge variety of cuisine with the emphasis on seafood, vegetarian, Creole and Asian style. Beer, wine and basic spirits are included free with the meals. Please note general room service is not available.

Getting There - view map
Hassle free coach transfers to/from the airport to the resort are included in your Club Med package. Scenic heli transfers to the resort are optional. The Club Med resort at La Pointe Aux Canonniers is on the north west side of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean, near Grand' Baie. The Plaisance airport is 65 km by road and the transfer takes 90 mins. Direct Air Mauritius services operate every Wednesday & Saturday from Perth, AND every Tuesday from Sydney & Melbourne. Packages inclusing airfares are available for 6 or 13 night durations.
