The 1900 passenger Queen Elizabeth 2 is the world's fastest (32.5 knots or 60km/h), and best-known liner, having carried three million passengers and sailing 5.3 million nautical miles since her launch in 1969.

An annual visitor to Australia, QE2 offers seven restaurants, two pools and the first sea-going Harrods boutique. Thanks to a refurbishment from bow to stern, she is uniquely prepared to pamper you with the utmost contemporary comfort.

Queen Elizabeth 2 exudes an ageless glamour that appeals to seasoned voyagers the world over. No wonder so many celebrities have revelled in her ambience of relaxed sophistication and gracious hospitality. Launched by Her Majesty the Queen in 1967, she has seen practically every record and honour fall at her feet.

She has been a troop carrier, hostess to royalty and witness to history. Nelson Mandela described sailing her as an unforgettable honour and pleasure. Take a peak at the treats in store when you live the enduring legend. From lounging to learning, there's so much to relish and discover. Its time to take your place in her history and sail onboard the worlds most loved ship.

With her refurbishment in May 2004, the QE2 emerged with some enhancements that are immediately perceptible. For example, the fully painted hull, the teak decks, the addition of an open deck bar on the Sun Deck, the new carpet replacements and the freshly painted Mauretania and Britannia Grill restaurants. Other upgrades, like the new sound and light systems, will be appreciated during a show. The new digital upgrade and satellite equipment result in better TV reception and more program choices.

Numerous technical improvements were made throughout to the ship's engines, steering gear, propellers, thrusters and stabilizers. The radar and electronic chart system was replaced. Safety and environmental equipment received upgrades as well. Also, the medical facility received a full upgrade. The result is a Queen Elizabeth 2 more inviting than ever - and powerfully equipped for a regal 21st century.
