Renamed Pacific Princess by Gabi Hollows in Sydney in 2002, the ship was operated by P&O Cruises Australia for summer cruise seasons (November - April) from Sydney, but has now been replaced by P&O Pacific Dawn. Fom February 2008 the ship relocates to Europe and to Central America for 2009 with Princess Cruises.
The elegant Pacific Princess has more balcony cabins and a wider choice of restaurants - the Club Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and pre-allocated dinner sittings; the Italian Restaurant and The Grill for alternative dinner dining; and the Panorama Cafe/Buffet for informal, al fresco breakfast and lunch.
Features include grand staircases with wrought-iron railings, leather-panelled walls, plush carpeting and trompe l'oeil ceilings providing a feeling of a "country club".
