Thank you for your travel reviews of P&O Pacific Princess Cruises for the benefit of fellow travellers. Included here are some of your responses and we update regularly.

• "Hi Gayle we had a wonderful holiday, everything about the Pacific Princess was great. The ship was very good, plenty of room to move about and you never thought that there were over 600 passengers on board.

T the cabin was quite roomy, plenty of storage space and a great balcony for sitting and watching the world pass by. I don't think anyone could complain about the food on board, the quality was top rate and plentiful.

We enjoyed all of the places we visited though sitting on the deserted islands was our favourite. All in all we would have to give the cruise five stars and would recommend it to any of your future clients. Again many thanks for all the help you gave and the great service" Stuart C., Perth, Australia (3 Feb 06)

• "Dear Gayle, We arrived back in England following our Daughter's wedding, further celebrations in Sydney, the fabulous Cruise, 2 days in the Lamington Park Rain Forest, more time in Sydney for NY eve etc. One glorious month away... Very many thanks for looking after us with this very excellent and well worthwhile cruise.

We are so glad you suggested the switch from the Brisbane alternative (Pacific Star) which from further discussions with guests and high ranking staff on board, we would not have been as happy and I believe that cruise didn't even sail as the renovations were not ready in time. The Pacific Princess had about 600 guests on board. This way we were able to meet people that we had become aquainted as we wondered around the ship.

This intimacy suited us well. The staff are all curteous and try very hard to please. The meals were excellent and on the second day we managed to get moved from a table in the centre of the restaurant with just one other couple to a table by the window with a family which gave us more conversational opportunities as well as a sea view.

Entertainment and sporting activities (table tennis tornaments and water volleyball suited me (Loretta)). Other than Noumea which was a little disappointing, the stops at Port Vila, Mystery Is., and Wala were all good with Wala being the highlight meeting the natives and seeing how they used to live and their current homes.

All in all, we would welcome a similar but different trip again in the future and will be very happy if you are able to look after us again. We will be off to Melbourne in March to see our younger daughter compete in the Commonwealth Games (3,000m steeplechase) for Great Britain... then we could again look into what cruises are on offer.. • "Hello Lynette, The Pacific Princess cruise was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our cabin was lovely and it made such a difference having a balcony. We had a bit of excitement throughout the holiday as there were quite a few elderly passengers on board and we had to turn around and head back to the Heads after about 1 hour as some passengers had been taken ill and the Pilot boat had to take them off.

The following day were well at sea when we had to turn around again and traveled back for about 4 hours so 2 passengers could be airlifted off by helicopter. We had a view of the whole thing from our balcony and all I can say is the crew on board and the helicopter and paramedic teams did a marvelous job.

Obviously for safety reasons the pool area and top cabins were vacated but we were kept well informed of everything that was going on by the Captain. We made a lot of time up in the night so we only lost ½ a day at one of the islands. I would like to thank you again for all the help during our booking..." Judith C., NSW, Australia (2 Jan 06)

• "Hi Gayle, The cruise on the Pacific Princess was excellent. When we left we had some bad weather on Friday and both my husband and I got a bit sick. If we took the seasick tablets straightaway before we left we would have been fine. Other than that everything was so good.

The cabin was excellent, food glorious food, entertainment good and everthing else good. We made lots of friends as you meet different people at breakfast and lunch time. The other two couples that we shared the table with for dinner, were very good too. Definitely we will be cruising again and we saw the difference on cruising on a smaller ship than we cruised before.

As there weren't as many people on board we met people over and over again and it becomes more friendly atmosphere. The two gala dinners were excellent. On the 6th December we celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary and I'm sure we're going to remember it for a long time. Gayle thanks again for all you help and I've already recommended you to some people on the ship and some of my other friends." Monica D., Sydney, Australia (13 Dec 05)

• "Hi Gail, We had the most wonderful holiday. The Pacific Princess was such a beautiful ship and the service and food top class. As it had only about 620 passengers We seemed to know everyone by the end of the trip. Our stateroom was spacious and so comfortable and our steward Eden couldn't do anough for us.

We are bridge players and were fortunate to find a group from Adelaide who were with a teacher and were able to take part in their duplicate games when we wanted to. I will sort out our photos and post you the best picture of us and our friends. Hope we will be in touch again. Regards and thank you for arranging it for us and also the wonderful price." Helen J., Sydney, Australia (13 Dec 05)

• "Dear Gayle, Just to let you know, my parents had a wonderful cruise on the Pacific Princess - they said they could not fault anything about the ship and its service. The food was fantastic, their cabin was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the staff were fantastic and they met fantastic people. So thank you for your assistance with organising their trip." Natalie T., Canberra, Australia (12 Dec 05)

• "Hi Lynette, We had a lovely Pacific Princess cruise and we got the upgrade to a large Port Hole. My husband was very grateful.

I also put on one and half kilos. The food was so good. Thanks for your help. All the best (I meant a cabin with a large port hole. Not sleeping in the port hole.!!!!!!!!!!)" Jenny T., Fig Tree, Australia (2 Dec 05)

• "Hi Gayle, Thankyou very much for all your information on the P&O Pacific Princess cruises. Your advice and follow-up emails have exceeded any other travel agent that we have spoken to. Unfortunately we have decided we will not be going ahead with the holiday. We will be in touch next year - when we need to re-book. Thanks again and kind regards. " Tania G., Melbourne, Australia (21 Nov 05)

• "Hi Gayle  Unfortunately, the Pacific Princess Cruise Capetown to Sydney trip was not a big success. For the last 3 weeks of the cruise the sea was rough and it was very cold!! At one time we were in a Gale Force 9!! I managed to get in the pool once.

There were many injuries on board and lots of smashed plates. Still, never mind. It was our choice and although we did not expect brilliant weather, we thought it would be better than that. It has not put us off cruising but we will be a bit more selective on which cruise/ship with our next choice. " Terry T., Sydney, Australia (11 Oct 05)

• "Hi Gayle, Our Pacific Princess cruise was tremendous, very relaxing.. I came home a little heavier as the food was spectacular and you cant go passed the bufet breakfasts and lunches. The smaller islands we visited were lovely especially Dravuni and Mystery island. Port Vila was nice.

A little disappointed with Noumea. We went on the pettit train once out of Noumea city the place was quite nice. We also tried to book a helicopter ride for Noumea but it had been cancelled due to lack of numbers. It would have been nice for the excursion officer on board to possibly make an announcement of these conditions.

We could not fault the boat itself, definitely 5 star facilities. There are certainly a lot of activities on the boat We had originally asked to be placed on a table of 8 but we were put on a table of 2 for dinner. As it worked out we were close to a table of 6 and we spent a lot of nights with them.

I would like to thank you with the way everything ran smoothly from my initial enquiry to the detailed planning along the way. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and I really appreciate your promptness with responses." Jillian A., Melbourne, Australia (14 Jan 05)

• "Dear Gayle, We were most impressed with your service, pricing and follow-up on the Pacific Princess cruise, we would definitely give you the opportunity of quoting in the future on our travel needs. I feel quite sorry for our friends who booked and paid full price through a local travel agent. Thanks once again, Regards " Trevor H., Sydney, Australia (4 Jan 05)

• "Dear Gayle The Pacific Princess Cruise was fantastic - very relaxing and everything on board was of a high standard - food, entertainment, cabin etc. My aunt has been on a number of cruises and felt this was one of the best. When we get the photos I'll send a couple to you or I'm expecting a digital photo from one of the couples at our table and if I receive this I'll email it to you.

As I said before I will certainly contact you regarding all future travel arrangements and in the meantime we would appreciate it if you could help our son Michael organise his trip to Europe which he and his partner are hoping to take later this year. I think he has already contacted you. Once again thank you for everything your attention to detail was much appreciated. Regards" Jan C., Melbourne, Australia (10 Mar 04)
