Thank you for your travel reviews of P&O Pacific Cruises for the benefit of fellow travellers. Included here are some of your responses and we update regularly.

• "Hi Lynnette, The Pacific Star cruise on 28 Dec was fantastic. We all had a great time and New Years Eve was the best I have ever had ( my birthday was new Years Day) All the meals were of excellent standard and quality with the staff friendly and always helpful.

Floor shows were very good and our favourite was the comedian/ventriloquist. Kid's club facilities were very good with lots of playstations, and activities for the kids. Cabin was fine and you could put the lower beds together if you wanted to make a queen size bed, and still use the upper fold out beds o.k.

Favourite places were Dravuni Island then Yasawa. The photo is of my wife on Dravuni Island. The boys both enjoyed the trip and slept very well each night. So overall it was a great holiday for the family." Chris B., Toowoomba, Australia (18 Jan 06)

• "Hi Zoe, Thanks for organizing our Pacific Sun holiday, Betty and I, had an awesome time This was my shortest time overseas and I tell you, it was so jammed pack with fun, we met people that had been on cruises, some 36 times even 52 times around the world.amazing!!

We met some of the nicest people, admittedly a lot of the guests were over 65 years, but everyone is such on a high there really is no age barrier. But we also met a lot of people our age and we had a blast!!!!!!

The Cruise Director, Shona Ballantyne and the Deputy Cruise Director, Demo Simis were FANTASTIC!!!! And made everyone's trip on board most memorable!!! Thanks again for your help, the information you provided was straight forward and you made it so easy... " Tony De Q., Sydney, Australia (26 May 05)

• "Hello Gayle, We were more than satisfied with the service we received from your agency everything was organized well. The Pacific Sun cruise itself was absolutely wonderful, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and will be cruising again at the next opportunity we can. Thank you for your service and support." Moira & Keith W., Newcastle, Australia (21 Feb 05)

• "Hi Gayle, The trip was just fantastic!! We loved it and would highly recommended the "Pacific Sun " to anyone who want a fun time. If you are after five star then this is not the ship for you. Just great fun, beautiful staff, always happy to help and the theme nights are something else. I would suggest that you advise anyone going on the ship to organise fancy dress gear. Was well worth the extra suitcase of gear. Thanks for you help with booking the cruise and we will be in contact again to book 'the sun part 2'. Regards" Ron H., NSW, Australia (18 Apr 05)

• "Dear Gayle, The Pacific  Sky cruise was terrific - we really enjoyed ourselves. I would like to thank you for the time you have spent with my silly questions - you can be assured that your name has already been passed on to friends - your courtesy and professionalism has been most appreciated. Again, thank you," Mr and Mrs Ian R., Sydney, Australia (21 Feb 05)

• "Dear Zoe, the Pacific Sky cruise was great the weather was not always so obliging, still there was plenty of other things to keep us entertained. Cheers" Michelle, Sydney, Australia (18 Feb 05)

• "Hi Gayle, Just made a posting on a cruise news group re our P&O Pacific Sun Cruise - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=3021289#post3021289 thought you might be interested. Regards," Ron H., Australia (15 Feb 05)

• "Gayle, The Pacific Sun cruise holiday was great we had a great time. The service on the cruise was absolutely brilliant. Every thing about it I am speechless. Thankyou for organising it all for us, you made it all too easy." Beti B., Sydney, Australia (7 Feb 05)

• "Dear Gayle, Despite the fact that the weather was lousy (mini cyclone stuff meant we couldn't stop at the Whitsundays) the trip was great. We appreciate all your arrangements which were excellent. Our Pacific Sky cabin allocation was terrific, with adjoining cabins for our kids and us, and we enjoyed the birthday cake that you kindly requested for our daughter on her birthday.

In terms of feedback, I would advise fellow travelers to enquire about prices for the tours which are offered from the ship before they leave so they can factor these costs into their budget. For example, the Great Barrier Reef excursion was $195 per person and for a family of 5 this makes a significant dent in the holiday budget especially as this particularly excursion was one of the reasons we went on this trip.

Other shore excursions were similarly (in my view) expensive when catering for a family and we could have easily spent $3,000 alone in shore excursions if we had elected to take an excursion at the 3 stops. On a positive note, I felt the ships meal and drink costs not covered by the ship were reasonably priced so that in between drinks and snacks didn't get out of hand. Thanks again for your assistance in getting our trip together for us." Jenny S., Sydney, Australia (4 Feb 05)

• "Hi Gayle, Our Pacific Princess cruise was tremendous, very relaxing.. I came home a little heavier as the food was spectacular and you cant go passed the bufet breakfasts and lunches. The smaller islands we visited were lovely especially Dravuni and Mystery island . Port Vila was nice. A little disappointed with Noumea . We went on the pettit train once out of Noumea city the place was quite nice. We also tried to book a helicopter ride for Noumea but it had been cancelled due to lack of numbers. It would have been nice for the excursion officer on board to possibly make an announcement of these conditions.

We could not fault the boat itself, definitely 5 star facilities. There are certainly a lot of activities on the boat We had originally asked to be placed on a table of 8 but we were put on a table of 2 for dinner. As it worked out we were close to a table of 6 and we spent a lot of nights with them. I would like to thank you with the way everything ran smoothly from my initial enquiry to the detailed planning along the way. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and I really appreciate your promptness with responses." Jillian A., Melbourne, Australia (14 Jan 05)

• "Hello Zoe, We had a great time on the Pacific Sky cruise and will probably do another one in 2006/2007. Excursions from the boat were not all that well organised. It appeared that it would have been better if we went ashore independently and organised things our selves but that ,in the overall scheme of things, was minor. Food, service, entertainment and cabin set up was excellent. We met some terrific people and became good friends with the other 4 persons at our dinner table.Thank you once more for the excellent service you provided to us. It ensured our cruise went very smoothly." Darryl and Margaret W., Brisbane, Australia (13 Jan 05)

• "Dear Gayle, We were most impressed with your service, pricing and follow-up on the P&O Cruise, we would definitely give you the opportunity of quoting in the future on our travel needs. I feel quite sorry for our friends who booked and paid full price through a local travel agent. Thanks once again, Regards " Trevor H., Sydney, Australia (4 Jan 05)

• "G'day Gayle Just to let you know that we had a great time on the P&O Pacific Sky Cruise . The food was great, the staff were friendly and the entertainment wasn't too bad, all in all a good holiday that we would gladly do again. This is the first time that I have booked a holiday on the net and we were pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything went I would have no hesitation in using Globenet again and would most certainly recommend your company. So thank you for looking after us, have a great Xmas and a happy new year. All the best." Brian & Margaret A., Bli Bli, Australia (20 Dec 04)

• "Hi Kylie . We could not have been happier with our P&O Pacific Sky Cruise, even though we didn't visit any countries.   I would rather the Starboard engine go on a ship than on a plane.   However the crew could not have been nicer, we received a full refund and a $250. 00 bonus each, ate their food, were entertained for 5 days, had a ball, and people who purchased Duty Free goods onboard the ship, because we didn't visit another country P&O paid the duty.

They even paid the airfares for a couple who were supposed to get married in Port Vila. So they  flew them there to get married   - they were on the same flights you booked us onto.  I could not recommend P&O more highly. We will receive a 25% discount on a future trip, so we will be in contact with you soon. Here are some photos from our trip." Allan V., Townsville, Australia (19 Nov 04)

• "Dear Gayle, Regardless to say, in one word the P&O Pacific Sky was "Sensational". I would recommend anyone to do a cruise like the one we did. With regard to the services you provided us via email {only}, it seems no wonder why, GlobeNet Travel was recently awarded '#1 Travel Agency'. The services you provided us were excellent. Some like me who would not have a lot of time to go into an agency, and wait around to make bookings etc. GlobeNet provides us excellent and incredible quick turn around services with our bookings. The accuracy and follow up was also great. Hundreds of agencies in local downtown Melbourne may not have provided us with the type of service and accuracy give to us by GlobeNet Travel.

I only have one complain, the "food" its too much, the choices were incredible, now we are all a few kgs. heavier and the people to blame is P&O cruises and their fantastic services, entertainment and choice of food. The Cruise Director and her staff were excellent. Nothing was ever too much for the other staff be it in the room service or the dinning areas. Thanks again for your great service and attention to detail, and all the information given to us prior to the cruise. We will send you a few short of our trip soon. kind regards and thanks again for all your help. I will certainly choose to use GlobeNet Travel again for any future holiday plans. Regards," Connie B., Melbourne, Australia (3 Nov 04)

• "Hi Gayle, Home from my P&O Pacific Sky cruise Brisbane-New Caledonia-Vanuatu-Sydney . Not well due to freezing air-con but will be better soon. Had a wonderful trip. I was upgraded to the next level on ship and had a 2 bed outside cabin, windows and all. Woweeee. Slept and ate and then ate and slept. Great stuff. Thank you for all your help and the wonderful attention you gave me to achieve this fantastic trip. Thanks," Barbara B., Miami Beach, Australia (4 Oct 04)

• "Dear Gayle The Pacific Princess Cruise was fantastic - very relaxing and everything on board was of a high standard - food, entertainment, cabin etc. My aunt has been on a number of cruises and felt this was one of the best. When we get the photos I'll send a couple to you or I'm expecting a digital photo from one of the couples at our table and if I receive this I'll email it to you.

As I said before I will certainly contact you regarding all future travel arrangements and in the meantime we would appreciate it if you could help our son Michael organise his trip to Europe which he and his partner are hoping to take later this year. I think he has already contacted you. Once again thank you for everything your attention to detail was much appreciated. Regards" Jan C., Melbourne, Australia (10 Mar 04)
