• "Zoe, We had a fantastic holiday thank you and the Whitsundays and Ayer's Rock accommodation that you organised for us were both brilliant. Pepper's Palm Bay in the Whitsundays was like paradise! I have attached a photo of us at Whitehaven Beach. Thank you again for all of your help. Kind Regards" Katherine B., London, UK (26 Aug 04)

• "Hi Kylie, Just wanted to say thank you for so efficiently organising our trip to Club Med Bali. We had a great time, weather was very kind to us, the resort is still as good as I remember…we ate too much! Many thanks." Alison B., Sydney, Australia (19 Aug 04)

• "Hello Kylie, Our trip to Club Med Lindeman Island was great and very well organized. Thanks & I won't forget you for booking next time, be good... Kind regards," Helen A., Sydney, Australia (12 Aug 04)

• "Hello Jo, All arrangements you made for us were great. They knew we were coming and everything was in order. The apartment was very clean and luxurious and the breakfast starter hamper very generous. I know that there were a number of emails that went back and forth between us to find the accommodation that suited us, and your efficiency and helpfulness was much appreciated. Thank you for all help in making our stay at Hamilton Island such a memorable one." Jo and Peter S., Perth, Australia (11 Aug 04)

• "Hi Jo, Yes it was terrific, my daughter had the absolute best holiday of her life at Club Med Lindeman Island." Phil E., Sydney, Australia (10 Aug 04)

• "Hi Gayle, Thanks for your note. We had a great weekend. Silky Oaks Lodge was wonderful and everything went smoothly. Regards" Andrew T., Brisbane, Australia (10 Aug 04)

• "Hi Jo, We are back in the USA after a very scary flight home. We had to turn back to Sydney after a bomb threat. But the rest of the time was incredible. Kangaroo Island was such an adventure and we enjoyed the wildlife (the fairy penguins were mesmerizing) and the slow pace of the island. We hiked and explored. Our hotel was very comfortable and it has a very good restaurant. The safari to Ayers Rock was cold but fun. Thank you for putting us in the Emu Apartments. We were just tired and cold and dirty and we walked into this great luxurious place.

Mission Beach's eco village was a delight too. We love the chalet on the beach. The beach there is very quiet and lovely especially the coves. David missed the hustle and bustle a bit but then there was Dunk Island which is action packed. As usual you put together everything with such preciseness and just right for us. Well next summer we are going to Peru, and next time we visit down under we are going to spend time in one place - there is just so much to see. Thanks again" Laura G., Porterville, USA (9 Aug 04)

• "Hi Tina, I wanted to drop you a letter and let you know we had a wonderful time. The people in Australia are the warmest and most friendly I have ever met. I wanted to give you a few high points :

Michael at Mondial Jewellers in the QVB in Sydney was fantastic to talk to &created a piece for us that is just stunning. He and his staff, May in particular, took the time to talk to us & we felt very comfortable and relaxed. They made the entire buying experience a pleasure. We dined at a place called Long Grain in Sydney that was really hip and cool; and the food was great. The Mansion at Werribee is beyond words. The staff are the best I have seen. They found a bus line "gull" that does transfers from Werribee to the airport.

I went fishing with Bill Billson on the Viking II while in Cairns. We caught many fish and had an awsome time. I would reccomend Bill to anyone. He was very professional and knows his stuff. Thank you for all your help the air and ground arrangements you made for us were perfect." Patrick & Lynette, USA (8 Aug 04)

The Great Ocean Road
Click to enlarge• "Zoe, Here's a picture I took on the Great Ocean Road tour. We also got great shots at Lizard Island. The latter was the most expensive place I've ever stayed but when you consider all we got for it, it was not that bad and definitely worth every cent. Thanks for the recommendation and for setting it up. By and large, the trip was well organized and made life easy for us. The one trip-up was that, because I made my own travel arrangements into Australia and didn't read the small print, we almost didn't make it on time! Because we hadn't obtained a visa. So my suggestion to you when you help people from overseas is to make sure they know a visa is required. Again, many thanks for your excellent help. We wouldn't have figured out such a good trip without you. As you remember, you helped us with the pleasure add-on to a business trip." Robin McW., Nashville, USA (7 Aug 04)

• "Hello Jo!!!, I had a fabulously relaxing trip! Just what I needed to break up the year!! You may be interested to know that I didnt actually stay at the Noosa Sheraton Resort...because when I got there....reception informed me that they were still renovating one of their 2 restaurants ,and the pool area was under construction!!!! So much for lounging by the pool!!! Well as you can imagine I wasnt too happy with this arrangement....paying resort prices, and getting just another hotel!!! The Sheraton was pretty helpful and understanding though, and they quickly organised some alternative accommodation at the Sebel for me.

This place was absolutely beautiful....I was offered a suite at the Sebel, with brekkies every day at the Sheraton. They also offered me use of the spa rooms at the Sheraton.I was pretty happy with that. I dont have all my photos yet (the benefits of digital cameras), but I do have a couple that the Australia Zoo staff took which show me getting acquainted with the locals, the wombats and a Tasmanian Devil called.......Koula (interesting huh?). Saw this cute little devil on the show Groundforce the other day. On the other days I visited Fraser Island (lovely), did lots of shopping (great shops), dined at some really great places (Aromas and Jaspers were my favourite), walked to Noosa Junction and through the Noosa Heads park (great views of the coast..recommend it), and went for a beach and country ride on some camels(lots of fun).

The rest of the time I did absolutely nothing but basque in the sun at the beach and by the Sebels pool. The weather was a consistent 24C most days....just beautiful!!! Thanks for making the arrangements and being so prompt with my queries.Yes I would nt mind looking at the specials you have to offer occasionally. Do you deal with o/seas trips too as I am thinking of going to the Greek islands next year...about May/June." Voula L., Melbourne, Australia (6 Aug 04)

• "Hello Jo, Shirley and Jen had a great time, and everything went smoothly. They did not get to see our son in Brisbane with his tennis program, even though they all visited the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. BTW, he did great in his tennis, winning 10 out of 12 matches. Thanks for all of your help with the arrangements. I am out of town until the end of this week, but when I get back I will send you more info. We would be glad to recommend your services." Mike B., Pittsburgh, USA (5 Aug 04)

• "Hi Zoe, I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us in planning and booking our holiday to Hamilton Island. Everything went off without a hitch and your planning and organising left nothing out of place. My wife, our kids and I had an absolutely great time and the weather was fantastic also. I have recommended you personally to friends of ours that are considering travelling, possibly to Hamilton Island also, over the next 6 months or so. I am sure they will give you a call if they decide to take holidays as planned. I would have no hesitation in utilising your services again when we choose to take a holiday. Many thanks again and I will send a photo or two when I have a chance.

There is only criticism I have regarding the trip but it has nothing to do with you or GlobeNet Travel. The idea of Jet and their non-allocated seating is a real problem. It is only a matter of time until there is a real problem caused by irate passengers trying to get a suitable seat. It is absolute chaos trying to load passengers without allocated seating. Maybe you can pass this information on through your company to JetStar. I will be sending a letter off to them this week to complain. From our point of view we will not travel with JetStar again until they introduce allocated seating. If Virgin Blue can offer allocated seating then JetStar should also. It will be their absolute downfall if they don't. Kind Regards," Terry L., (4 Aug 04)

• "Hi Rene, Thanks for the welcome home.  It was very hard returning to work and cold Canberra - we are expecting a top of 9 degrees today.  Congratulations on the award for the 3rd year. The trip was great.  The arrangements were excellent; no dramas at all.  It was great knowing everything was paid for up front and we only had to worry about spending money. The Cairns Queenslander was very nice and comfortable with everything you could want available.  All the receptionists at the Cairns Queenslander were great, but in particular, Louise was lovely and extremely helpful. thanks for everything. Looking forward to dealing with you again. Regards" Jill & Peter C., Canberra, Australia (4 Aug 04)

• "Hi Tina, We had a great time. Graham had a magical time snorkelling the great barrier reef (his first time ever!) and I had a magical time at the Aqua Soul Spa. Mmmmm….. Everything went like clockwork and the people at Heron Island made us feel welcomed and very special! Thanks for everything." Karen & Graham M., Brisbane, Australia (4 Aug 04)

• "Dear Zoe, finally we arrived home after driving over 5000km. Brampton Island was fantastic, our room what you can see in the photo was in the best position on the island. The food was excellent and the walks and scenary were breathtaking. I can highly recommend it for your next holiday. We were also very lucky with the weather. We had clear skies, and 23/24 degrees everyday. Water temperature: 20 degrees, which was quite pleasant. Thank you very much for looking after our booking, we'll keep in touch. Regards, " Stephen H., Melbourne, Australia (3 Aug 04)

• "Hi Jo, We had a great time at Daydream Island. All was great. Food was very average and choices limited. Lots of choice in activities and overall we had a fantastic time. Peter and I are going away end of August (copy of booked flights attached) for our 10th wedding anniversary. We'd love somewhere special to stay in Port Douglas and suggestions on things to see/do. Please do your magic!" Joy Sydney, Australia (2 Aug 04)

• "Dear Kylie, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! What a marvellous trip you planned for our family! It was wonderful. " Lee J., Manchester, USA (2 Aug 04) - View full reportre Heron Island, Cairns, Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas, Darwin, Kakdu, Alice Springs, Uluru, the Olgas & Sydney

• "Hello Kylie We two women were very impressed with the arrangements you made for us. We found the Globenet-arranged itinerary and the tours you selected for us to be very enjoyable. Best of all, EVERYTHING worked! By that I mean when we showed up to a hotel or a tour or the airline, they were expecting us. That told me that you had done your work. We liked having our own itinerary so we could be independent travellers rather than being with the same group for the entire trip to Cairns, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs, The Ghan, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Melbourne & Sydney.

We liked having a free day every now and then, and we liked the selection of day tours that you made for us. With limited time in each place, the tours gave us a good overview of what each city or area had to offer. I LOVED Australia and this trip was a great introduction to Oz and her people. It was a trip of a lifetime for me. Thanks Kylie for doing your job so well." R. F., USA (31 Jul 04)

• "Hi Kylie Thanks for all your help on our recent Australia trip- had a wonderful time! Highlights- Sydney (ready to move there), Silky Oaks (exactly as you described it), the train carriage stay in Undara, and the funky neighborhood of Brighton Beach where we stayed the last nite at Novotel. Would probably not do again (but still really nice)- Dunk Island (far too family oriented, and not worth the price) Thanks again! All was terrific. Hope you are well- all the best" Kelly A., SanFrancisco, USA (31 Jul 04)

• "Hi Zoe My trip to Cairns was the best trip of my life! The Reef House is outstanding and the scuba diving out of Port Douglas was great too. I went diving out of Cairns one day but it wasn't very good. I definitely recommend Port Douglas over Cairns. Thanks for helping me book the trip. It was truly wonderful. Regards," Kelly S., Melbourne, Australia (28 Jul 04)

• "Hi Kylie I have been meaning to email you to say thanks a million for organising the Sydney trip. I had a great time and really appreciate everything you did to make it such a well planned and well organised trip." C.D., Brisbane, Australia (28 Jul 04)

• "Hi Sonia I was excited to plan this trip to Australia and my expectations were running very high. Sonia, your expertise and help with the planning of my trip exceeded my highest expectations. Hayman Island Resort is outstanding but what made it even more so was your experience and input in choosing my room. You told me the Lagoon Wing rooms were larger but my best choice would be the Pool Wing. How right you were ! I had asked you to try and reserve an upper room on an end at Hayman....Sonia, we were provided an upper room on the 3rd floor with an absolutely incredible view of the pool and on to the ocean. The room was the first room off the center of the wing. Your advice on the food and other details was perfect and if your ears were ringing last week it was because we were singing your praises. We took a helicopter to Whitehaven Beach and then to The Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling.

I loved the trip and we are already planning to return again next year. This terrorist news is a little disconcerting but life must go on. Sydney was a lot of fun....we took the ferry to Manly, a train to Hornsby and enjoyed the Sydney Opera House on Saturday night with a wonderful opera. Please keep me posted on activities in Australia. More later along with a picture or two to follow. Best always and thank you again, you were wonderful!" Al P., Los Angeles, USA (27 Jul 04)

Wilson Island
Click to enlarge• "Hi Zoe, well I’ve been back for 2 weeks in what is now officially the 3rd wettest July since records began! As you can imagine – not impressed – even Sydney’s winter was better than this! The attached pictures are from Wilson Island. Everything you arranged for us was fantastic, the helicopter ride to Heron was out of this world, the pilot flew in really low over the reef, so low you could see turtles and rays in the water. I’d definitely recommend it to your customers, at least one way.

The launch back to Gladstone was also very good – a really modern boat with all facilities. The Wilson Island Experience was better than any expectations I could have had, from the moment you arrive on Heron you’re made to feel very welcome and special. I don’t know if you’ve ever been but there were so many little touches that we didn’t expect that just made the experience fantastic. The photo I’ve attached of the sunset is as good as it looks, the hosts on Wilson (Rob and Theresa) were excellent, we watched the sunset with oysters and champagne and they couldn’t do enough for us. I can’t recommend the place enough, imagine watching a sunrise and then walking around an island and the only footprints you see are your own?

As you can see from the second photo there were only 6 of us on the island, including the hosts, I’m SO glad we went out of season. I’m the one in the beige stripy shirt (looking a bit worse for wear – not surprising with top class wine on tap!) and Jon is the one in the blue stripy shirt. The other couple were also from England and we got on so well we went for dinner together when we got back to the mainland.

With regard to everything else you arranged, it all went without a hitch – the hire car, the flights, (especially the Virgin Blue, what a fantastic airline – we have e-mailed them and personally thanked them, it’s not often you get cabin crew who sit with you for a round of cards! I hate to say this but there was one part of the trip which was really disappointing –the Mercure Hotel in Ultimo, Sydney. The hotel was shabby and the staff quite rude. As it was 7pm on a Sunday night we stayed anyway and still had fun in Sydney. I appreciate that you booked the hotel based on the budget I gave you, however I would suggest you don't use this hotel in future for your customers Zoe, the rest of the trip you planned for us was nothing less than first class.

On that note, I met a guy through a friend of mine in Sydney who works for Queensland Tourism. He asked me about my plans whilst I was in Australia and when I told him I was going to Wilson Island and I had booked it through GlobeNet he ranted and raved about how fantastic you were and how you had just been voted the number one. I’m not surprised in the least, I would recommend you to anybody I know who was thinking about a holiday in Australia, I’m waiting to win the lottery to take all my friends to Wilson! Thank you once again Zoe for making the trip of a lifetime so EASY. With regard to the minor criticism, it was 2 nights out of 35, so it certainly didn’t spoil things, the reason I mention it is so that you can avoid it in future. Many thanks" David F., London, UK (20 Jul 04)
• "Kylie, ust to let you know that we arrived home a week ago or so. Our trip to Australia and New Zealand was fantastic. Thanks for all your help! The opera house view room in Sydney was the perfect way to start out our adventure. The Chifly at Lennons was so convenient to doing things in the city of Brisbane. The hotel in Aukland was OK, not worth repeating, although it did have a washer and dryer that were new. My husband said I expected too much for the money we spent there. That's OK. The ferry ride over to the south island of NZ was great! We found many wonderful small hotels and motels as we traveled all over that island.

Two places we recommend for overnight stays: The Outrigger Hervey Bay and the Noosa Blue. We had beautiful suites in each for great prices because it was winter. Thanks again for all your help. Wish we could return there again. Our neighbors are seriously thinking about a similar trip and we will give them you name for sure." N.C., , USA (20 Jul 04)
Cable Beach Sunset
Click to enlarge• "Dear Tina, The holiday was excellent, if short, and we thank you for the trouble- free arrangements. The Cable Beach Resort is really quite beautiful, and contributed in no small way to our enjoyment of the holiday. We found the staff to be particularly friendly, when compared with other places we have stayed, both in Australia, and overseas. We enclose a typical sunset, usually watched while sipping a champagne or beer, from the sunset bar at the resort. Regards" Peter and Janet, Sydney, Australia (13 Jul 04)
• "Dear Zoe, Thank you so much for all your assistance. Both myself and Jeff and Janet and her daughter and granddaughter had wonderful holidays. Daydream Island is fabulous. We took part in a myriad of activities both on land and water and came back feeling very relaxed.

The staff at Daydream were extremely friendly, enthusiastic and helpful with planning our many activities, the food was excellent, the massage staff at the spa complex were first class (we are regular users of massage services at home and were very impressed with the both the set up of the rejuvenation centre and the staff skills) and we loved it so much we are planning to go back again as soon as the budget allows.

Janet found Couran Cove to be perfect for families, and loved the fact it was easy to get around and very well set up for children - her daughter was particularly interested in the way it was set up as an environmentally friendly resort, as it was very relevant to her engineering studies at university.

The only thing we would change would be the journey by coach from the airport to Shute Harbour to catch the ferry. Next time we will catch a cab from the airport, as the coach stops at all the hotels on the way dropping guests off making for a long laborious journey - we would rather pay a little extra for the cab and get to the island sooner. thanks once again for all your help kind regards" Adele A., Moreland, Victoria (12 Jul 04)

• "Zoe I would like to thank you SOOOO much for the absolutely amazing holiday you booked for us. I really could not believe Peppers Palm Bay when I first saw it. The resort itself was stunning, the staff were amazing and location just perfect. And I can commend the cocktails! We indulged in some diving with the Ragamuffin sailing boat which was excellent - a brilliant, fun crew We also played tennis, swum in the pool and walked the length of the island. The whole holidays itself was so much more than we expected - I have no negative feedback at all!!! Once again thanks so much...unfortunately we have not down-loaded any photos yet! Regards" Maria. L., Adelaide, Australia (6 Jul 04)

• "Dear Gayle Jim and I recently booked onto a Captain Cook Cruise to Lizard Island. The service we got from you was outstanding. You replied very quickly, and gave us all the information we needed. When we had extra questions you were kind enough to research and come back to us again quickly and cheerfully. We especially were grateful for the extra time you spent giving us your psersonal feedback after you had been on the trip.

To summarise, the service you offered us was very friendly, fast and professional. We would not hesitate to use you again if we ever are lucky enough to be able to afford another trip to Oz. By the way, we got a welcome bottle of bubbly and up-graded to Top Deck! Many Thanks (We are happy for to use any of this in your publications/web!) PS the only info we got that didn't match up with reality was the average age of the cruise go-ers being 35 - 40!!! On our trip it was 40 - 50!!!!!." Samantha & Jim, London, UK (6 Jul 04)

• "Dear Sali I have received all the documents and I double checked. All the information is correct. I have never in my life completed a travel arrangement so quickly and easily as this time. I have been in Australia just six months but already found that Australian tourism service is better than Japanese one. I am sure we will enjoy our holiday. Thank you. Regards" Tetsuya Y., Sydney, Australia (2 Jul 04)

• "Dear Tina Here are the wedding photos (Anna and Peter, married Wednesday 16 June 2004 at Brampton Island ). We had a wonderful day - ceremony followed by seafood platter lunch on the balcony, followed by snorkelling (after a rest to digest the food!), walking up to the peak to see the magnificent sunset and then we dressed again for a beautiful dinner (wedding table set up) in the restaurant. A marvellous, stress-free wedding day that I can thoroughly recommend! Thanks for your help in making it all happen." Sandy K., Melbourne, Australia (1 Jul 04)
