Dear Gayle, Back from a wonderful break at
Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort. Thankyou for the great deal you organised...The hotel is fabulous very upmarket great beds, and lovely views and all the facilities are top class. I've stayed at alot of top market hotels and this one is excellent. The staff at all the bars, cafes and aquatic areas are very friendly and down to earth. The food is very reasonable.. The restaurant could be better .. more focus on their job.. they forgot about us waiting 1 hour for a seat which we booked for 8.00pm on saturday night.. they gave us a complimentary drink though to apologise. Some other guests did complain that it was not alacarte, but a set buffet menu which aimed more towards asian guests. But for $22.00 per head quite reasonable.
We expected fresh seafood but nearly all was frozen and that was a surprise to most people staying at the resort. Next year they are building a new bar and bistro come eatery in the old whaling station and that will be a a lovely spot closer for hotel guests and great views etc.
Thanks again for your help and we would like to go again with our husbands and family soon... You got us a great deal and we had a wonderful time snorkeling and relaxing etc. They make a great cocktail -TIM TAM!!!! See you, We will book through you again and many of my friends wanted to know your email to book through you so good luck with lots of extra work coming your way." K.V., Sydney, Australia (17 Sep 02)

Hi Gayle, Just a note to let you know we are back safe and sound in Saudi Arabia and to say thanks for organising a wonderful trip for us. We have had a holiday of a lifetime finishing off at the beacvh for the last 5 days was great and relaxing after the hectic schedule of sight seeing at
Ayers Rock. As I said when we spoke the accomodation was excellent.
Adelaide was OK a bit noisey on the main road but for one night did the job. I did not see anything better. We liked
The Reef Club very much and the
Port Sea next door looked good. We looked at the
Newport which is very centrally located in the hear of the Pubs and Restaurants and close to the Marina. It is the opposite end of the town from the beach. Would be perfect for the younger age group those who want to live by the bars!!.
We are glad we changed to
the Reef Club 5 mins from beach and an easy 15 mins into town.
The Ghan was a nice change from flying and enjoyed it very much. There are many adjectives we could use to describe our time in your country but I would be typing until next week. If you would like us to comment on any particular points please drop us a note.
Thanks once again for everything, you are a credit to the travel industry. Best wishes for the future" M.&M.S., Saudi Arabia (13 Sep 02)

Hi Zoe, just a note to say thanks, all went wonderfully, no problems at all, all rooms were excellent- I must state that
Hayman Island is exceptional- in addition, the people wherever we went were friendly and helpful- Ii only wish it could be that way here- Barbara was a little disappointed in
Silky Oaks accomodations, but the food and setting more than made up for that- as for me if I could find a way to move to
Sydney I think I might do it very quickly- once again thanks" D.H. Chicago, USA (13 Sep 02)

Dear Gayle, We would like to thank you very much for the organisation of our holiday in Australia - we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed ourselves. All the arrangements went very smoothly and the hotels (mostly) very good - the quality of the service at the
Stamford Plaza in Adelaide being especially notable.
We would also like to thank you for the time and effort you took to resolve the problem with the hotel in
Port Douglas,NEWPORT ON MACROSSAN.
(Complaint being investigated, property not being recommended in the interim)... The other hotel -
The Reef Club was such a nice contrast and we can recommend this to anybody. Other than that everything went very well - all the tours were good and we enjoyed every minute of it.
We are already planning to visit Australia again - and possibly New Zealand - next year and we shall certainly be contacting you again to help arrange this. We will also be recommending you to our friends. Thank you once again for all your help, Regards" G.&P.E.. Bahrain (12 Sep 02)

Dear Sonia, we are back from the most fantastic holiday in Oz. Highlights include the hot air balloon flight over Alice Springs, the spa of peace and plenty on
Dunk Island, the jet ski trip around Dunk Island,
Cape Tribulation and getting to sing in front of an audience in the
Opera House, Sydney.
We will highly recommend you to anyone wishing information on your services, so please contact us if you need to. Thank you so much for arranging our wonderful holiday" K.&S. D. Los Angeles, USA (12 Sep 02)

Hi Jo, We had an absolutely super time; and all the connections and arrangements were smooth and well-planned. As far as the
Safari In Style, it was good camping (in clean tents and bedding on raised floors) and the tour guide was great, but the cooking and bus rides were a bit....camplike! You win my vote, and we'll send a friend your way for his travel arrangements. Thanks again" K.&S.C. California, USA (11 Sep 02)

Jo, Thank you very much for your arrangement for my trip to
Bali Club Med. Your arrangement was perfect. I really enjoyed there, but I didn't take any pictures. I normally don't take a camera with me to my vacation. It seems that I am not an usual Japanese. Haha.....I was very comfortable in a room, because I was alone there with a shared room rate. Thank you very much for your arrangement again." K.Y. Japan (8 Sep 02)

Hello Louise, Just wanted to thank you. We booked
Dunk Island through you. Everything was wonderfully arranged all vouchers (by e-mail and then printed)were well accepted. The island and the resort were a dream come true, the accommodation just great, much more than we expected. We have spent a wonderful week there. If you need any recommendation sometime, be sure to contact me. Thanks again, kind regards" P.D. Netherlands (5 Sep 02)

Hi Shelley Thanks for your note. We finally got back to the UK yesterday after a fantastic trip. Everything you booked went very smoothly - the only hitch was
Coconut Rain Forest Resort in
Cape Tribulation - what a complete dump!! If you are booking anyone else there in the next few months, I would recommend that you investigate how far they have got with refurbishments - everything looked great on their website when I asked you to book it, so I am sure other people will be in for just as much of a surprise!
The
Reef House in
Palm Cove was fantastic - a really lovely end to our holiday in Australia. We had a gorgeous room and the staff were all really friendly.
We really enjoyed
Brampton Island as well... I would definitely recommend Brampton - I thought we got really good quality and service for quite a reasonable price.
Port Douglas was lovely - just for future reference though, I wouldn't rush back to
Bay Villas - they were nice apartments, very well equipped and only about 5 or 6 minutes walk from the main street, but they are built quite closely around a small central courtyard and are really noisy - you can hear everything going on in the apartments above and below even when the doors are all closed. We particularly enjoyed the family downstairs who were all learning to play the didgeridoo! Hmmm. We actually went back to Port Douglas and stayed at a place called "
Verandahs", which was great. It's a really lovely apartment-hotel with gorgeous trendy apartments and right behind the main street - if anyone is asking you about accommodation in Port Douglas, I would definitely recommend it.
Another place (which we booked ourselves) I would really recommend is the
Alexander Apartments at
Hervey Bay - definitely the best place in town and no more expensive than their competition... Thanks again for all your help - if any of our friends are heading your way, I will tell them to get in touch. With best wishes" J.D. London, UK (4 Sep 02)

Kylie, We had a wonderful time in Australia. Everything went smoothly - even when we had some airport delays.
Dunk Island was fantastic (although a bit cooler than we had hoped for) and the kids loved the Kids Club. Having been to several resorts with kids facilities my husband and I liked this one the best since the kids went in the morning, were with us in the afternoon and back at Kids Club in the evening allowing us to have a leisurely dinner.
We had a good time in
Ayers Rock - the kids were blearly eyed from the sunrises we saw. I'd say our rom was okay - they brought in an additional cot which left us with just enough room to walk around - a bit cramped.
In
Perth I'd have to say we loved the
Mounts Bay Apts - clean, spacious and bright. An easy walk to the shopping area and train station - we went to the kids museum which was fantastic...
The Sydney
(Taronga Park )Zoo was great and we did the
BridgeClimb. Rachel learned to surf on
Bondi Beach - she caught "a million waves". We did a day trip to the
Blue Mountains. All in all a great time was had and were hoping that it won't be nine years before we're back again. [our kids did amazingly well on the 28 hour journey from our house to Sydney and back - although Michael now wants us to take 3 planes for any trip!]
As an FYI for you with dealing with Americans - we were pleasantly surprised with the map books in the cars in Perth and Sydney - its not something you'd get over here. If this is fairly standard you might want to mention it. Thanks again for all of your help in planning our trip! Karen" New York, USA (3 Sep 02)

Hi Zoe, How'ya doing? We're back and have overcome the jet lag by now. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and express our family's appreciation for your great effort in handling our ever evolving itinerary (in real time).
Especially we would like to thank you for your patient and smiling attitude throughout the trip, for your efficiency in solving problems on the way, and for always returning a call or a message when needed... All the best" D.&O.A. Tel Aviv, Israel (21 Aug 02)

Hello Kylie...thank you for all your efforts to arrange our trip to
Sydney and
Lizard Island -- we loved it all! We climbed the
Sydney Harbor Bridge -- what a fantastic, and expertly organized experience. One of the highlights of our trip.
Lizard Island is gorgeous, we had a marvelous room just steps from the beach, and we loved our time there. Food terrifc, varied and beautifully presented -- the dining room open to the sea view and air is truly special. Especially enjoyed their dinghy being available to take to other beaches for private picnics. FYI - the only negative of the Lizard experience is that their dive program is too rigid and repetitive to the same sites for people with as much dive experience as we had -- turns out they mostly cater to beginners and resort divers and go to the same sites every day.
At least we did get to experience the outer
Great Barrier Reef - now we will go back for a live-aboard trip (maybe Mike Ball's boats) and really get to dive the way we are used to.
Then we can always return to Lizard for rest and relaxation after being on the dive boat for a week! You were most helpful and we appreciated all you did to get us our documents ahead of time -- all was in order and all went smoothly thanks to Kylie. Overall, a fabulous time... Thanks again" L.V. Hi Jo...Thank you we had a wonderful time on
Daydream Island. Only hic-cup was the connecting flight to Hamilton was brought forward so we missed it and had to hang around Sydney Airport for seven hours but other than that we had a blast! Cheers" L.S. SanFrancisco, USA (30 Aug 02)

Dear Tosh, Michael and I made it back safely to California from our visit on
Hayman Island, Sydney and the Australian Open in
Melbourne. Thanks for all the travel suggestions. We got to do some but ran out of time, which gives us more incentive to return. While we were at Hayman Island a "small world" story occurred. We met a couple (Liz F. and husband) from Houston, Texas who could not stop talking about and praising the price and service provided by GlobeNet Travel. They were at the resort for 4 nights and were at the "Chef's table" with us..." L.K. SanFrancisco, USA (22 Aug 02)

Hi Jo, We will send you a picture. I want to compliment you on our itinerary (even if we didn't do the bridge walk). Everything went so smoothly even the weather only 1 hike in the rain at
Cradle Mountain. We met other tourists not so lucky with vouchers that invalid on arrival. We will be going back and now have a better idea where to hang out longer. All the facilities were wonderful - looking out at the opera house and the bay at
Hobart with the
Spirit of Tasmania ships (which had arrived that day).
We had plenty of of adventure especially in Tasmania and on then on the
Great Barrier Reef. All the tours were on schedule and great - the
Raintree Tour was very fun. Best tour: Great Barrier Reef for me and for Dave he like Cradle Mountain and Tasmania on a whole. Thanks again and looking forward to working with you all again - I am spreading the word. We had FUN! Thanks again" L.G. Los Angeles USA (21 Aug 02)

Hi Jo, The trip went very well, except for the Qantas strike the day we left Brisbane for
Lizard Island. We did make it, but had to get up at 4 a.m., which reduced somewhat my love of Qantas. They also misplaced my bags twice flying into Sydney and Brisbane. We loved Australia, and thanks for the help." P.D. New York USA (21 Aug 02)

Hey Sonia, Well we've come and gone. What a wonderful country you live in. We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. We did the
Sydney Harbour Bridge climb and it was awesome.
Dunk Island was probably our favorite place. It was more like paradise island. Beautiful. The trip out to the reef was a bit rough. Lots of sea sick people on board but only one in our party got sick. She was OK once we got to the reef. The snorkeling was great. I would rent a car if I had it to do over again.
Silky Oaks was nice but even farther from most of the things we wanted to do. We went back and forth to
Cairns six times from either
Port Douglas or
Silky Oaks. We got to know that highway pretty well. We went through
Wild World one day, rode ATVs through the rain forest another day, took the train to
Kuranda and the
Skyrail back then went bungee jumping after. If you haven't tried the bungee jumping it is quite a rush. Scary but awesome. I think next time I'd want to stay nearer to Cairns, rent a car and drive up to
Port Douglas, etc. Since we left from Silky Oaks, we had to get up at 3:30 a.m., take a van into
Mossman where we got on a bus, made several stops in Port Douglas and barely got to the Cairns airport in time for our flight to
Sydney.
It made for a really long day. All of our connections going and coming worked like clockwork until we got back into the states. I want to thank you again for all your hard work. The arrangements you made went like clockwork and the facilities were very nice. We'll definitely be coming back. We barely scratched the surface of your country and want to explore more of it. All of the people we met were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Thanks again for the great service and I won't hesitate to recommend and use your services in the future. Keep in touch and let me know if you ever decide to visit the states. I'll try to smooth the road for you a bit." S.F. Texas, USA (20 Aug 02)

Hi Joanne, Here are the photos from
Dunk Island that we promised. The sunsets were to-die-for.
Mt. Kootaloo walk was very nice despite the dry season. We will be going back to Dunk (hopefully sooner than later). Thanks again for your professional and accomodating service. Kind Regards" K.K. & C. Sydney, (20 Aug 02)

Kylie, Just want to say thanks for arranging a superb holiday for us. I was a bit concerned, maybe even suspicious, on prepaying a significant amount of money to an internet based company (there are far too many (true) stories about burglary on the net) but I am happy to say that everything was in order... Thanks again!" K.A. Sweden (20 Aug 02)

Hello Jo, Thanks... the hotel in Brisbane was fine, I liked the park next to it where I promptly went to look at the birds. Everything else going to
O'Reillys and then back to
Gold Coast was fine. The bus drivers were especially nice and gave good, informative commentaries. O'Reillys was ok. There are birds there, but they feed them and they react as pets, rather weird to me. The food is very good. The price of rooms is high because the activities are included, however we found many of the activities rather boring (going shopping at an australian alpaca store that carried mostly Peruvian sweaters!) But
Lamington National Park is splendid. So there are birds at O'Reillys but it is not a great place for birders, too many people on the trails, too much noise.
North Queensland, Julatten, Daintree were wonderful and great birding lodges: Kingfisher at
Julatten and Red Mill at
Daintree.
Northern Territory was a surprise.
Kakadu is interesting but the tours go only to a few places and the one we took was more like a marathon. We also went to
Katherine and
Litchfield Park, same comments. If I went back I would rent a car or 4wd and do it on my own. Also the tour operators and guides are much more professionnal and knowledgeable in
Queensland. And we finished with a full day in
Sydney and as always there had a great time. Great for me, David Jones had good sales on winter clothes...
Thank you again so much for rearranging our trip at such short notice and so quickly. I would recommend your services without any hesitation to anyone going to Australia. Till the next trip to Australia then." I.L. Montréal Canada (13 Aug 02)

Hi Tina...The holiday
(in Vanuatu )was fantastic. No sharks!!!! The accommodation was excellent. In fact their website and brochure do not do the resort justice. The accommodation is relatively simple but it sits right on the beach overlooking the water. The snorkelling just in front of the resort was amazing with plenty of colourful fish. The diving was also great. Having to study while we were there was not the greatest but it gave us something to do while we were lounging around on the beach.
The dive instructor, Dave Cross, was really friendly and helpful and more importantly a good instructor. Chris and I learnt a lot in a short period of time. We would definitely recommend him to any of your other customers. Thanks again for organising this for us in such a short space of time. We really did appreciate all of your efforts." C.&T.F.. Dear Joanne, Just writing to tell you that everything went great and to top it all we had perfect weather everywhere, not a drop of rain. Our friends keep asking us which place we liked the best but we can't say as each destination was so different. The hotels were all fine. We especially enjoyed our stay in
Palm Cove, and ate out in a different restaurant every night, all very good. The hotel's facilities were also excellent.
Sails in the Desert had the nicest rooms but
Hotel Rendevouz 's rooms had the best views. Also we got to see your Prime Minister there while we were checking in, he was at a conference in the hotel. In each place we did all the touristy things and more. All in all we had a fab holiday but the jet lag when we got back was horrendous. I am only now starting to feel normal. Also I must say that
Quantas Airlinesis the best airline that we have been ever on. Thanks again for all you did and I won't hesitate to recommend you and your company to anyone who asks. Best regards," M.O'N. Turks and Caicos Islands (3 Aug 02)

Hi Zoe, Wanted to thank you for the great job you did for us. Our trip went perfectly at every stage. We especially enjoyed
Silky Oaks and the

The Windsor a day early... Thanks again for all you did and your expertise." C.P. Los Angeles, USA (1 Aug 02)

Hello again Jo, I would say that overall the trip went well and all the arrangements went smoothly at
Hayman Island. You might want to note that pre-paying dinner at $120/night was not a good idea. The one restaurant where you could spend that amount was hardly open at all. Also, not really suitable for small children with all the open access to water. I heard that they are doing up the beach units (they were empty) and it sounds like they will be the ones to choose soon. I really enjoyed the treatments - no problems at all there. We skipped the body wrap and I had a second massage instead - very professional and she does Reiki as well!. Thanks again and best regards," K.M. Melbourne, Australia (17 Jul 02)
