• "Hi Sali, Thank you so much for your wonderful insight and for helping us to have a relatively hassle-free and enjoyable family vacation in New Zealand & Australia. You will be the first person I get in touch with when we are planning our next getaway..." Sharon G., Dubai, UAE (12 Jul 05)

Daintree River kingfisher
Click to enlarge• "Hi Eva We had a great time and Silky Oaks Lodge was excellent. It's expensive, but less so when you take the meals into account. The accommodation is superb, and the common areas a very comfortable. It rained a fair bit while we were there, but not enough to spoil anything. Port Douglas was as usual: superb weather and full of people. Lots and lots of great restaurants.

Our apartment at Reflections was only so-so; it was on the ground floor and got no sun. It's a superb location, but we would probably try elsewhere next time. We visited friends at Mandalay, and that is much better. I was able to get into a scuba diving course, which took four days (6 ocean dives), and was quite tiring for one in less than the first flush of youth. But well worth while. Many thanks for all your help. Here's a picture of an azure kingfisher taken on the Daintree River. " Robin B., Melbourne, Australia (15 Jul 05)

• "Kylie, Thanks so much for the arrangements. Everything went pretty smoothly, overall we had a great time at Club Med Ria Bintan and were all very reluctant to come home! The only issue we encountered was that we could not any info on the exact transfer departure time from the Traders hotel to Changi airport and were not get able any response from Club Med (as their Singapore office was closed on Sunday ) The driver did turn up but it meant that we rather wasted the morning waiting for him.

Everything at the Club Med side went well although we did find that the availability and condition of much of the recreational equipment was poor (especially compared to Club Med Bali ) I hope this feedback proves useful to you." Alun J, Tokyo, Japan (11 Jul 05)

• "Dear Kylie, Thanks for organising our holiday for us. All the travel and transfers went very smoothly. The staff at Daydream Island  were fantastic and very helpful. We had a great time... We did however find the resort hugely expensive for what they had to offer." Naomi O., Melbourne, Australia (29 Jun 05)

• "Hi Gayle, Just got back from Dunk Island and had a great time. Thanks so much for arranging everything for us. We really appreciate it. If any of our Canadian friends are planning a trip this way, we'll be sure to give them your name!" Candace K., Calgary, Canada (27 Jun 05)

• "Hi Sali, The spa at Silky Oaks Lodge is just the best I agree. Food at Bedarra Island the best of the big three ie Silky Oaks, Lizard Island and Bedarra. Not so much to do on Bedarra though. We think we will go back to Lizard next time." Carolyn B., Sydney, Australia (27 Jun 05)

• "Zoe, Thank you for recommending Orpheus Island as the place for Eileen & I to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary it was everything you said it would be & more, it truly was a second honeymoon for us. From the moment we set foot on the Island until the time we left the experience was nothing but pleasurable. The food was out of this world, presentation superb, & the chef made our anniversary meal extra special by 'going the extra yard' with the dessert (photo included).

The staff were some of the most professional we have come across, nothing was ever too much trouble, if you needed them they were there, if you didn't want to be disturbed you never saw them. Not just the front side staff, the behind the scenes crew were also brilliant, no matter what time you went for breakfast when you returned to the room it was made up & the nightly turn down of the bed was just another attention to detail that put this holiday 'in a class of its own'.

The scenery, well I dont think I have the words to describe how beautiful the waters, coral & fish are except maybe to say God was having a very good day when he put this part of the world together. Eileen & I are looking forward to our next visit to Orpheus, we are not sure when we will get back but we are sure we will. Once again thank you Zoe for your help organising not only this trip but our previous one as well .... " Nick & Eileen M., Sydney, Australia (21 Jun 05)

• "Zoe, South Molle Island was a real surprise for us. The room was perhaps a bit ordinary but that grew on us. The staff were friendly and generally excellent in the way they attended to you. The facilities of golf and sailing were utilised very much by us and the walks in the natural landscape were relaxing.

The value for money aspect was exceptional. I am of the opinion that it was the best short holiday I've had for ages and ages. I am definitely going back there again next year at around the same time." Peter C., Melbourne, Australia (21 Jun 05)

• "Hi Zoe, Dunk Island is just perfect, we had such a wonderful time, compared to Vanuatu, Fiji, Phuket & Bali, Dunk is much, much better. Specially my two girls love animals, we went to the farm 3 times. We also went to the Barrier Reef for a day tour, and the sand cay is just beautiful, we spot the nemo, giant clam, turtles etc.

5 nights were not enough we thought, we rarely stay at the cabana because there are so much to see & do out there. But the location of the cabana is just perfect, close to all the places that we need to go, the food is just to die for, thank God is only 5 night, or I will gain too much weight. All the travel arrangement are perfect, they are all nice & friendly people, no time wasted, well done Zoe. I'm so happy with our holiday, I have even given your details to my doctor... " Elisabeth S., Sydney, Australia (20 Jun 05)

Lady Elliot Island
Click to enlarge• "Hello Zoe, We had a wonderful time on our journey... The most memorable was on Lady Elliot Island - we truly enjoyed the peace and serenity there, also great food, snorkeling, and wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The reef unit we had was simple yet very comfortable. We wished we had stayed for more nights as you suggested.

Kingfisher Bay Resort was exceptional and Fraser Island is a treasure. The service and food were extraordinary.

The small dive operator, Poseidon, in Port Douglas was excellent, and the dive course through Tech Dive Academy was very individualized with knowledgeable, friendly staff. We took a BTS full day tour through the Daintree and Cape Tribulation with a wonderful tour guide.

The Novotel at Alice Springs is a good place for short stays -we did some walking around the hotel and saw a kangaroo, lots of birds. The pool area is very pleasant.

The Desert Gardens Hotel at the Ayers Rock Resort is very relaxing and enjoyable with superb service - we had great assistance with all of our tour bus connections. All of the Qantas and related airline flights were efficient and pleasurable. The Indian Pacific and the Ghan were wonderful with excellent service and great scenic views. We are looking forward to another trip next year to Perth, Western Australia, a return to LEI, and other reef destinations. Thank you for all of your fine assistance, and we will be contacting you in the future for our next itinerary." Doris and David C., New York, USA (20 Jun 05)

• "Hi Gayle, The six night break on Hayman Island went extremely well. The place had changed a lot in 23 years. We had our honeymoon there. We were fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a Lagoon Suite. A very nice pad !! Its an excellent island, all dining options were great and we were lucky enough to go to the "Chef's Table" on 2 occasions in the one week. Superb snorkelling also. The staff are very attentative and well trained in what they do. Its obviously very popular with North Americans at the moment. Thanks for your help in booking this for us. Until our next short break." Mike and Margo D., Sydney, Australia (15 Jun 05)

• "Hi Zoe, Lizard Island was wonderful - everything (and more) than we expected. We would definitely go back. We then spent 3 days in the Port Douglas/Daintree area which was also great. A wonderful (if short) getaway! Thanks for everything - I'll be back in touch for our next adventure." Meg W., Sydney, Australia (15 Jun 05)

• "Hi Zoe, Everything was great - would highly recommend you as a service provider and Dunk Island as a destination ..just for Info the airlines especially JetStar are getting very strict with all passengers MUST having ID to travel..never questioned before...thanks again" Geoffrey F., Melbourne, Australia (15 Jun 05)

• "Sali, During our month long stay in Australia we stayed in some of the country’s finest resorts as well as more modest establishments. We keep looking at our pictures and remembering a remarkable trip... we probably should have opted for the 5-day package at Lizard Island. It was hard to leave after three nights. Baroka Downs was beautifully executed and of very high quality. Thank you for all your efforts. We are so grateful to have found you." Dave and Joni H., Seattle, USA (11 June 05)

• "Hi Sonia, We did indeed have a FANTASTIC time at the Sheraton Port Douglas. Our accomodation at the Sheraton was First Class as was the service provided by the staff there. I would recommend it as a holiday resort to anyone. The weather was perfect and we all came back refreshed (and a little tired from a couple of late nights). I have sent some photos... Thanks once again Sonia, your assistance was very much appreciated." Simone W., Burleigh Waters, Australia (6 Jun 05)

• "Hi Sonia, Our trip was wonderful with many, many great memories... Sails in the Desert upgraded us to a room with a hot tub, so that was very pleasant. It also included a deck overlooking the pool area and I think that we were spoiled and spent too much time in the room itself! =) The room was never very "cool" (air temperature) which I was prepared for after reading reviews online. I'm sure very few people make that trip more than once so I'm guessing customer feedback isn't as important.

The room itself felt a bit "aged" but we were comfortable. The time difference threw us off until we realized that they are 30 minutes instead of the typical hourly time zone change. The Sounds of Silence dinner was fantastic...but more so because we witnessed a Russian satellite re-entering the atmosphere while we were eating by candlelight. Most spectacular thing I've ever seen...no one there had any idea what it was and it just added to the excitement of our trip! =) Good planning! LOL

The walking tour was long and hot. I think that we should have known since they were selling netting at the hotel that we were going to bothered by flies. But we had talked with a couple the day before from the states and they didn't even mention it to us. Something that you might want to pass along to future travelers...netting for this walk to keep the flies out of your face.

The breakfast was very simple...fruit bars, water, etc...I was envisioning more than just a trail breakfast. We didn't eat until after walking half way round Uluru about 2.5 hours into the tour. Future travelers might want to grab something in the hotel (fruit/cereal) if they are unaccustomed to waiting so long before eating.

The walk itself was very interesting and I'm glad we went on it. It was filled with historical facts and geological information about the area. Having the Sounds of Silence tour the evening before made it an early morning. I didn't realize that to climb the rock itself was such an adventurous journey that must begin early in the morning...because we slept in the first day we missed that opportunity...not that I had any ambition to climb it once we saw how steep it was. =)

Cairns was very nice. We went out that evening and shopped. The ocean side park next to the hotel was very spectacular. The hotel was brilliant and we regretted only staying there one night but would not have traded one night on the island. =) The Dunk island was fantastic. The room was the best...we fell in love with it immediately and could not have asked for a nicer accommodation. The food was fantastic. Many of the activities were not offered every day or even at all (we had hoped to take the scenic flight over the reef as advertised on the website) since we were there in the "slow season". Having not traveled much for pleasure in Australia I didn't realize that this might be a factor.

Fortunately with 5 days on the island we got a snorkeling trip to the reef (these were only offered every few days and depended upon the having enough customers, a walking tour to the artist colony (only on Thursday) and plenty of time to relax. The beaches were a bit too rocky for my tastes, but other than that it was fantastic. The island personnel worked with us to arrange to have our extra luggage sent ahead on an earlier flight that day and it was waiting for us in Cairns. All the transfers went smoothly and we were very pleased with the trip that you put together for us." Alan & Lauri C., USA (14 Jun 05)

• "Hi Tina, Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know we had a ball on Brampton Island. Absolutely loved it! All the flights and connections worked like clockwork and the island is spectacular. Perfect for us. Just so that you know, the facilities and accommodation have been substantially refurbished but not entirely. The room interiors are lovely, as are the pools and surrounding areas. The reception and restaurant could do with a facelift but the food was lovely. Thanks for your help." Carol O'B., Brisbane, Australia (31 May 05)

Club Med Bali

• "Sali, Brampton Island was fantastic and Natalie and I enjoyed our stay on the reef. The whole resort staff were pleasant, helpful and fun to be around. The activities were just right and the weather (even for that time of year) was great. Locals told us they have been visitng the different resorts for years and this was the best of all of them. Thanks for the suggestions and the help. The helicopter IS the only way to go. " Bill L., USA (24 May 05)

• "Hi Zoe, Thanks for organizing our Pacific Sun holiday, Betty and I, had an awesome time This was my shortest time overseas and I tell you, it was so jammed pack with fun, we met people that had been on cruises, some 36 times even 52 times around the world…amazing!! We met some of the nicest people, admittedly a lot of the guests were over 65 years, but everyone is such on a high there really is no age barrier. But we also met a lot of people our age and we had a blast!!!!!!

The Cruise Director, Shona Ballantyne and the Deputy Cruise Director, Demo Simis were FANTASTIC!!!! And made everyone's trip on board most memorable!!! Thanks again for your help, the information you provided was straight forward and you made it so easy... " Tony De Q., Sydney, Australia (26 May 05)

• "Hi Kylie, Just wanted to say thank you for helping organise our honeymoon. We had a great time on Wilson Island. Heron was good also but pretty windy but the weather was perfect while on Wilson. We got the Isolation Tent which was great and ended up taking the Heron Island chopper on standby both ways in the end as with the strong wind it would have been a very rough boat ride. Anyway, thanks for everything." Helen W., Maryborough, Australia (16 May 05)

• "Hi Gayle, We really enjoyed our Captain Cook cruise on the Reef Endeavor. Beat our expectations. From check-in to disembarkation all when smoothly. The crew was great.... meals delicious and healthy with lots of fresh fruit and seafood... the cabin was comfortable and adequate... the activities well planned... safety was definitely a priority. All-in-all we had a very, very nice experience and would highly recommend this 4 night cruise." Anna Marie H., Olympia, Australia (12 May 05)

• "Hi Tina or should I say bonjour, We had a fantastic trip to Paris. The George V Hotel was out of this world. Not sure if you had anything to do with it or whether it was sheer luck but they upgraded us to the top floor with not just a great view but a full on terrace with furniture with views over every major attraction of Paris - simply amazing. The staff were the best we have ever experienced and so friendly.

Our dinner in their restaurant has to be the best dining experience I have ever had in the world. We had a degustation menu to die for, the service was incredible and the little extra things like a portfolio of the hotel and copies of the menus signed by the chef congratulating us was very special - even candles on dessert to celebrate. One remarkable touch was the padded stool next to your chair to put your handbag on was so amazing.

In contrast we went to the Paris Ritz for a drink and the service was terrible, the staff very rude and up themselves and the hotel itself old and stuffy. What an excellent choice. I would certainly recommend the George V to any of your clients for that ultimate experience. The package we had was also fantastic with breakfast, museum passes etc. We thoroughly enjoyed Paris. Did heaps of walking and saw everthing. Also ate heaps of great food. In general I must say the French were all very friendly. The tours you organised were great value and very worthwhile with no hiccups etc." Julie O'K., Brisbane, Australia (6 May 05)

Bedarra Island
Click to enlarge• "Hi Kylie..., Well...what can we say....the wedding was perfect and the honeymoon FABULOUS! Bedarra Island was amazing. The staff so friendly and helpful...the scenery breathtaking...(even though it did rain a bit)..the food delicious (we ate WAY too much)..and the open bar well utilised! We had such a relaxing time.

We had the privacy we wanted, yet also had the opportunity to socialise with other guests at meal times and around the bar. We had our own private boat ride to & from the island and did not have to lift a finger. They even packed us a lunch on our last day! We can't stop raving about Bedarra. We made the best of the sunshine we had...and got a little sun each day, used the canoes, had a swim and had plenty of walks. The massage was a real treat..(David is now a massage convert) and just topped off a brilliant honeymoon.

Unfortunately the weather did not permit us to go out on a dinghy for a day...but we did get a gourmet picnic made up for us, packed into backpacks for us and went for a walk & picnic on the other side of the island. It was magic. We got some amazing photos...and I will attach one of us for you.....the newly VERY happily married Mr & Mrs. Thanks again for all your help arranging this...it was the perfect start to a wonderful life for David and I. We will be recommending Globenet to anyone who is looking at travelling." Sonya & David T., Brisbane, Australia (5 May 05)

• "Hi Elisabete, We had a wonderful time on Brampton Island and would recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday away from the rat race. This was a perfect destination for my husband and myself as a last "couples holiday" before we have our first baby later this year. Even though we had some high winds and rain most days, there was still plenty to do and it was warm enough to still go for walks in the rain! The food was superb and included healthy and not-so-healthy options. The staff were professional and friendly, but never intrusive.

We asked to move rooms as our first allocated room was right outside the watersports centre, so had a lot of passing traffic. We were delighted to be moved to another, quieter beachfront room, which suited us perfectly. There was never any hassle and the staff always did their best to accommodate us and our wishes. The picnic lunch we took one day was excellent and the walking trails are great for fitness fanataics. I have attached a photo of a view from our room and one of Turtle Bay. Thank you for your help and advice and I look forward to booking through you in the future (and hopefully returning to Brampton)." Suzanne M., Sydney, Australia (5 May 05)

• "Hello, We stayed 2 weeks in the Sea Temple Resort at Palm Cove and had a great time. The resort is such a gorgeous place with the beautiful lagoon pool, all the water features and the melaleuka trees in the middle of the resort. The apartments are very generously outfitted and have everything you can dream off. We especially loved the very comfortable beds and the jacuzzi bath. The gym in the resort is great and we utilized it on a daily basis.

The Sea Temple Spa was very good and the girls do great massages. The shop sells all kinds of nice Sea Temple clothing and the lady who runs the shop was very friendly and helpful, as was actually all the staff that work in the resort. To proximity to the beach is one of the greatest features. You just walk over the wooden bridge and you are right on the beautiful beach of Palm Cove. On the left you walk towards the town of Palm Cove and on the left you can walk for about 2-3 km to both Clifton and Kewarra. All in all this place is an absolute gem. A true paradise and we will certainly be back again on our next trip to Australia." Marco van B., Groede, the Netherlands (5 May 05)
