The Resort
Bedarra Island Resort is one of Australia's most exclusive resorts, an indulgent tropical private hideaway lying off the coast south of Cairns. Set in a secluded haven of tranquillity and beside the refreshing tropical oceans of North Queensland, this is an oasis of natural beauty where walking is the only form of transport.

The resort on Bedarra Island is a favourite destination for those who treasure quiet moments and harmony with nature. It is designed to complement the natural beauty of the island, with emphasis on privacy and peace where you can truly unwind and indulge in pampered luxury.

Bedarra is the perfect haven for those who desire a more civilised escape – exquisite cuisine and whatever you wish from the open bar - it has returned after a short absence!

Our consultants regularly visit Bedarra Island to improve their product knowledge - view some of their recent photos here.

Getting There
Regular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Cairns. The scenic twice daily flight (3 times daily in peak season) from Cairns to Dunk Island takes 40 minutes. This is followed by a 15 minute launch service to Bedarra Island Resort. The launch meets all flights into Dunk Island. Water transfers can be arranged from the mainland township of Mission Beach. Heli transfers can be arranged to Bedarra Island or private aircraft charter from Cairns to Dunk Island.

Day Spa
Bedarra Island Resort's spa therapist provides massage and healing therapies and the Spa of Peace and Plenty at nearby Dunk Island has a range of pampering spa treatments from facials to body wraps and massage.

Golf
Guests can take the 15 minute launch trip to Dunk Island for their challenging and scenic 18-hole resort course - the largest island golf course in Australia. The course layout and design was created by Scott Dowdle, who operates and maintains Queensland's leading international championship course, Laguna Quays. Due to limited luggage space on aircraft, Dunk Island carries a good range of golf clubs for hire.

The resort does not offer facilities for children and those under 13 years are not catered for.

Honeymoons
Bedarra Island Resort honeymoon packages are available on request.

Bedarra Island Reviews - read more
"The flight over on Macair was fine. We arrived at Dunk Island and were asked to wait in the Bedarra waiting room. It was stocked with all kinds of goodies. The boat arrived just a few min's later for our trip over. I must say that unless you have been to Bedarra Island, it would be hard to explain that kind of luxury.

Everything was perfect. They seemed to think of anything we needed before we did. I swear they watched for us to leave our room so they good go in and leave fresh towels, a thoughtful note, fresh flowers spread around the room or a fresh fruit tray and cheese in the refrigerator.

We even had a gift in our room on the day we departed. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. We ate, drank, slept and went swimming. That was the extent of our days. We had Villa 5 and it was one of the best two story villas. Your private beach chairs were just out the door right in front of the villa. We had cocktails with some people that were staying in the pavilion villa and it was magnificent. But I don't think it was worth twice the money.

We took a boat out one day for a picnic on a private beach. Our basket was even packed with china, silver and wine glasses. They truly do think of everything. We will certainly recommend you to our friends and would call you again on our next trip to Australia. This trip rates right up there with the best we have ever taken."
