Wrotham Park retreat was sold in 2009 and subsequently dismantled, loaded onto roadtrains and moved to storage in Darwin.
Wrotham Park is a premium resort offering an authentic outback experience in comfort and style. Located 300km west of Cairns, a 45 minute flight away from Cairns, the resort is located on a spectacular site high above the banks of the Mitchell River, on the 600,000 hectare property of Wrotham Park.

Emulating timber slab houses with wrap-around verandahs, Wrotham Park Station pays tribute to Queensland's outback architecture, its dining and living area, library and bar are styled on pioneer designs and furnishings - all with a modern twist. A feature of the outdoor living area is an oversized raised platform ideal for dusk drinks and wildlife watching. A feature of this region is that flies and mosquitoes are almost non-existant!

Wrotham Park Station offers an unparalleled outback experience, the architecturally designed 'Homestead' and guest 'Quarters' are located on a spectacular site high above the banks of the Mitchell River, bringing together wilderness, wildlife and a hint of luxury.
The property is an adult retreat and children under 13 years are not catered for. It has just 10 premium Guest Quarters and caters for a maximum of 20 guests, suitable for couples and singles. Wrotham Park Lodge will be closed during the wet season from 16 Dec 05 to 31 Mar 06.
Wrotham Park Station offers so many activities you will never get bored. The town of Chillagoe is 83km away and it has an annual race meeting and rodeo in May. The property is set on the banks of the Mitchell River, located 300km west of Cairns and 250km from the nearest town, Mareeba. It is just 55 minutes by air, situated on The Australian Agricultural Company's (AACo) 600,000 hectare Wrotham Park cattle station.
Regular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Cairns. A scheduled service by Hinterland Aviation now operates from Cairns airport to Wrotham Park airstrip with three flights weekly at $249 per person each way:

Car rental is available through all major car rental companies from Cairns Airport and City. Rented vehicles must be 4WD due to sections of unsealed roads. The trip takes approximately 4 hours from Cairns, travelling via Mareeba, Dimbulah & Chillagoe.
What to Bring
Light comfortable clothing with sun protection (hat, sunscreen and sunglasses) for daytime, swimwear, durable trousers and closed-in shoes for horse riding and smart casual wear for dinner. A jumper or coat is recommended as the evenings may be cool. The lodge has a designer range of casual resort and R.M.Williams outdoor wear for purchase.

Wrotham Park is a breeding station running approximately 30,000 predominantly Brahman cattle. Wrotham Park has three major river systems - the Lynd, Mitchell and Walsh Rivers on Cape York Peninsula - which run through the entire property and are its main feature. Production of the property is breeding steers for the growing-out areas of the AACo company. Operations consist of two rounds of mustering using horses, motorbikes and helicopters.
