The Resort
Lady Elliot Island is the most southerly island within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, making it the closest reef island to all southern capitals. It is located on a true coral cay surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef, a diver's paradise with its own airstrip and offering a relaxed and low-key atmosphere.
The island is a part of the Bunker Group which include Heron & Lady Musgrave Islands, and all of them are famous for their unspoilt coral reefs, marine and birdlife. It is a popular scuba diving and snorkelling location due to its interesting dive sites. the resort has no phones, no TV, no radio & no hassles.
Lady Elliot Island's natural beauty and unique environment has earned its place as part of a World Heritage listed area. the resort is low key, relaxed and environmentally oriented, with important turtle and bird rookeries. It also boasts a reef education centre for a close up on nature.
Our consultants regularly visit Lady Elliot Island to improve their product knowledge - view some of their recent photos here.

In season Lady Elliot Island plays host to a wide variety of wildlife including nesting turtles (Oct to Apr), whale watching (Jul to Oct) and is a rookery for migrating seabirds.
