Hello Zoe, We loved
Lady Elliot Island, although they do have a problem with their diving that they say they are addressing. Best wishes and thank you." Dr. Elliott M., California, USA (17 Jan 06)

Hi Sali, We had a great time,
Lady Elliott Island was everything we hoped and we are planning to revisit Jan 07. We can't thank you enough for your assistance with our booking. Your information and advice was excellent everything went very smoothly!
Since our return we've been passing on the link to a number of people, and will definitely be in touch to plan our next holiday. " Julia Z. & Trevor C., Melbourne, Australia (16 Dec 05)

Hello Sonia, Just wanted to let you know that all went well with our trip and that
Lady Elliott Island is a really great place. Both my husband and I agreed that probably 3 nights would have been better (2 full days) but we both enjoyed the island and what it offered.
We were even lucky enough to have a green sea turtle climb up the beach to lay her eggs quite close to our room. The rooms are quiet and the food is quite good. The staff are all really helpful and very pleasant. Anyway, it worked out quite well for us and I thank you again for your help." Carol T., USA (28 Nov 05)

Dear Zoe We had a great trip to NE Queensland last month. The visit to
Lady Elliot Island was spectacular and welcome respite after a long flight. We had a lot of fun there and met great people.
The trip to
Green Island was equally wonderful and I might think about if I have a chance to return possibly a night there. Those islands were the best for kids in my opinion.
Palm Cove was beautiful and allowed to explore
Cairns. We enjoyed it very much including breakfast at the beachside restaurants.
The Mango Resort is beautiful but a bit too much "spa" for my taste. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time alot. We actually had a fun time at the Cairns Night Zoo and Kuranda. Cairns has alot to do for adults and kids too.
Dunk Island (my suggestion!!) was pretty but a bit disappointing in a way. I am not sure if the huge resort feel or what it was - the food was a high point though! In any event, we had a great trip and maybe will be back in touch to explore Oz. I also sincerely appreciated your patience with all our twists and turns in itinerary including the great help by your office while we were there to change our itinerary again. Thanks for helping us plan this wonderful trip. " Joseph R., Shanghai, China (6 Sep 05)

Hello Zoe, We had a wonderful time on our journey... The most memorable was on
Lady Elliot Island - we truly enjoyed the peace and serenity there, also great food, snorkeling, and wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The reef unit we had was simple yet very comfortable. We wished we had stayed for more nights as you suggested.
Thank you for all of your fine assistance, and we will be contacting you in the future for our next itinerary." Doris and David C., New York, USA (20 Jun 05) " Doris and David C., New York, USA (20 Jun 05)

Hello Zoe, We all agreed that
Lady Elliot Island was the best holiday we've ever had. We loved that it was simple and unspoiled. The diving was spectacular, the wildlife memorable and every day an adventure. Full and exciting days combined with peaceful and quiet nights left us all feeling relaxed and rested. We are planning our return trip! Thanks for arranging everything so well, everything went smoothly. I have attached a photo of us all in the water on one of our perfect days." Jenny L. & family, Sydney, Australia (21 Nov 04)

Hello Zoe, Thank you so much, the holiday you arranged for us was exactly how we wanted it - we're very pleased! The only negative experience we had was in Hervey Bay at the
Playa Concha Resort. We weren't impressed with the service at Reception there. The girl was very suspicious of our voucher and wanted some other proof of payment, which we couldn't give her since that was all we had.
This had not been a problem at any of the other places however, which we told her, so she finally accepted it. She wasn't directly rude, but not very polite either, so we were a little disappointed. Maybe especially so since we had received such excellent service in
Noosa and on our trip to
Fraser Island, and also, as it would turn out, at
Lady Elliot Island.
Anyways, thank you again for your excellent arrangement, and we will be sure to use GlobeNetTravel again! Please send us information when you have special offers! Best regards," Cecilie J., Sydney, Australia (6 Feb 03)

Elisabete, I'm (alas) now back in Sydney after travelling around Central Queensland (
Carnarvon Gorge, etc). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay on
Lady Elliot Island, and will definitely go back there again. I particularly liked the informality and absence of "Activities" which let me wind down very well. Off Season is definitely the time to go there!
Thank you very much for your friendly and very professional support; it helped to make the planning process so much smoother! As requested, here are a couple of pictures of the Island, including sunrise as seen from my front door." Peter T., Sydney, Australia (9 Sep 03)

Hi Kylie, Thanks for helping us organize everything. The trip to
Lady Elliot Island was very relaxing and we really enjoyed both the snorkeling and the scuba diving. Everyone on the island was very helpful. There was one issue which was a little frustrating though which you might want to talk to the island officials as several other visitors had the same problem.
It seems that Mutton Birds fly under the accomodation and basically make the most horrendous noise possible all night. My g/f and I basically had no sleep for the first two nights. I have attached a couple of photos that you might enjoy... Thanks again for all your help with the bookings. " J.H., USA (21 Jan 03)

Kylie, I just wanted to let you know that we're back from our trip and it was fantastic. All the transfer and connections went smoothly (with two slight exceptions I'll get to later). I was very impressed with Australia. Not only was it beautiful, but everyone was absurdly friendly, and everything seemed incredibly clean, modern and organized, even in remote places, which is a big difference from where we live (barely controlled chaos).
It got to the point where the extreme organization was funny, in practically every tour and resort we were given detailed instructions on where the toilets where, the correct procedure for eating, how long each leg of the trip would be, etc. The only real problem we had was that it was colder than expected. We wore the same pants and sweater for 3 weeks and had a bag full of shorts and t-shirts.
There were some advantages, the desert wasn't hot and the hills of
Adelaide were a gorgeous green, but it's always hot here (25 to 35 celsius, even at night) so we were not adequately prepared.
The water was also extremely cold, although I put on a wet suit and got in anyway at
Lady Elliott Island. I think a month later might have been perfect. With respect to the accomodations, I think you hit the nail on the head pretty much every time...
The
Great Ocean Road Tour was a blast, on the other hand. The driver was funny, he gave some information but also played cool music throughout, the tourists were young and you could choose where to eat lunch and dinner. Anyway, these are nits which I thought you might find useful. Like I said, I'm incredibly impressed with the way our complicated itinerary ran like clockwork. You budgeted the right amount of time in each place, we were busy, but not rushed, and your selections and recommendations were great.
We even hiked
King's Canyon, which was a great experience. I love your country. Sometimes it's hard to tell from the inside, but it really is close to paradise. The cities are cosmopolitan, but attractive, safe and clean. People are well off. The infrastructure is in great shape (no potholes anywhere!) and you've got huge, wide open spaces. It's amazing.
I already have a list of places to visit for my next trip (Western Australia. Tasmania, New Zealand) and am looking forward to it even if its a few years from now. Thanks for everything." N.B., San Juan, Puerto Rico (17 Sep 02)

Hello Zoe We've just had the nicest ten day holiday, including our stay on
Lady Elliot! Thanks for all your assistance - everything went well re travel, accommodation, car storage, meals etc. The diving and snorkelling was great!! We'll be doing more of that in the future, I'm sure. Thanks again, M.N., Sydney, AUS (15 Apr 02)
