The Lodge
This luxurious and exclusive mountain lodge is "adults-only" and splendidly located just over an hour's drive west from Brisbane and the Gold Coast in the World Heritage-listed Scenic Rim in the Main Range National Park.

Limited to just 10 couples at any time, it offers stylish, intimate accommodation reminiscent of mountain lodges in New Zealand and Africa with high ceilings, fireplaces, rich timber fittings and stylish decor - a secluded boutique retreat away from the pressures of modern life and up to 10 degrees cooler than the coast.

By day enjoy the wonders of the surrounding area and by night sample fine food and wine, relax by the fire or take in the brilliance of stars in clear mountain skies.

The property is architecturally stunning, designed and built to the highest standards imaginable and with no expense spared, opening in 2004 with little fanfare to quickly become one of Australia's premier retreats and South-East Queenslands best kept secrets!

Situated in 9000 acres of lush green parkland atop a 3700 ft mountain plateau, the expansive views to distant horizons are only interrupted by swirling mists that float through the surrounding bunya pines and magificent gums.

As an adult-only retreat it offers an intimate and relaxing experience in one of our country's most beautiful wilderness areas enhanced by the impeccable hospitality of the lodge staff.

Our consultants regularly visit Spicers Peak Lodge to improve their product knowledge - view some of their recent photos here.

Accommodation - see rooms
Guest accommodation is located in wings of the lodge. Spa Suites (3) and Lodge Suites (5) are at ground level with private decks and stone fireplaces while 2 Lodge Suites are on the upper level commanding outstanding views over the valley. There is one disabled suite along with easy access to all facilities and Spa Suites can accommodate an extra person.

Activities
The Lodge itself offers year-round pleasures, regardless of season and climate. Without venturing outside, there is much to experience and enjoy from the well-stocked book/CD/DVD library, excellent (though 3/4 size) billiard table, expansive lounge and bar area complete with baby grand piano, stone fireplace and even wireless Internet! The open bar is well stocked with local and overseas favourites, espresso coffee, fresh snacks & bakehouse offerings with attentive help never far away.

Their heated infinity pool and spa is simply sensational, hard to leave with spectacular views by day and star shows or mist by night, all just metres from your room! An ampitheatre-style tennis court (equipped with floodlights, bar area and racquets of course) is nearby, along with bocce, mountain bikes and scenic walking tracks to provide some of the outdoor exercise options.

Option include: • Cooking classes • 4WD tours • Massage treatments (Aromatherapy, Reiki, Reflexology, Stone Massage) • Wine & cheese tastings • Horse riding • National Park bushwalks • Stanthorpe wineries • Hot air ballooning

Dining - Winner "Best Fine Dining Restaurant" for 2006
Here you experience epicurian magic providing for every wish and dietary requirement. The innovative menus are prepared by executive chef Ben Lanyon assisted by David (ex Peppers Palm Bay) highlight fresh produce grown in the rich fertile soil of the region, local game (this is deer country), choicest Queensland meats & seafoods matched with a superb wine list. A supplementary cellar range and fine cigars are available at reasonable prices.

Breakfast is continental or a la carte to suit, wholesome and nutritious with freshly squeezed juices and breads hot from the oven... Lunch is light and leisurely al fresco style, superb fare brilliantly presented but can be taken at a distant slab picnic table overlooking the plateau in complete isolation - except for the bellbirds and wallaroos! Gourmet picnic hampers are also available for serious hikers!

The evening 7 course degustation experience changes daily, served in the formal dining room complete with stone fireplace. An open kitchen shows all the action as all your senses are stimulated.
