Thank you for your reviews of Peppers Palm Bay Retreat for the benefit of fellow travellers. Included here are some of your responses and we update regularly.

• "Hi Tina, thank you very much for arranging all our accommodation and transfers it made life very easy. We were very impressed with Peppers Palm Bay in the Whitsundays and the Four Points hotel on Darling Harbour." Matt N-W., London, UK (29 Jan 06)

• "Hi Zoe, Thanks for arranging the trip for us. The properties we stayed at all had their own individual charm.

Peppers Palm Bay was lovely and relaxing, the food was pretty good, and as there is only really the one restaurant it is worth including dinner in your package. The food was fresh and there was always a choice of three items for each course.

The staff were generally lovely and it was a good place to relax. I would recommend it to overseas guests as there are a lot of wallabies that graze on the lawn at dusk and all over the place on bush walks as well as a few interesting birds and geckos....

I recommend Peppers Palm Bay generally, especially for the price but don't expect anything out of the ordinary." Michelle D., Melbourne, Australia (9 Dec 05)

• "Hi Dinah, Firstly, thank you for organising our trip to Peppers Palm Bay and being so helpful at all times - I was so impressed by the level of service as well as the prices on offer and I will definitely use GlobeNet in the future. It was also great to have all the transfers organised by yourselves (I thought that would be something we would have to arrange).

Including the dinghy hire in the price was also a good idea as we had such a great day out. With regard to the resort, it was a fantastic location with great accommodation on the beach - totally relaxing and incredibly beautiful. Generally the staff were very helpful, and there was a good selection of services/tours/entertainments on offer to keep you amused. We've stayed in Peppers places before and will definitely stay in them again." Lucy M., Sydney, Australia (6 Apr 05)

• "Hi Elisabete, We had a fantastic time and Peppers Palm Bay was awesome! The service was fantastic and we felt really relaxed and pampered. We loved it and are already planning our next trip back! Thanks for everything and for your help and assistance." Jane Q., Sydney, Australia (29 Mar 05)

• "Hi Zoe, Thank you soooo much for your help in organising our holiday. We had a fantastic time and I would seriously recommend you and your company to all my friends. Peppers Palm Bay in the Whitsundays is every couples dream getaway. We couldn't of asked for more. Thank you again for recommending it and for all your help. Everything went smoothly and we are so happy." Priscille & Daniel B., Sydney, Australia (24 Jan 05)

• "Hi Kylie We had a marvellous trip, and thank you for all your arrangements. The Airlie Beach Coral Sea Resort was perfect and a good induction to Queensland, with enough to do to keep us occupied after Sydney. It commands a spectacular position on the headland, and is a perfect spot for unwinding, watching all the watersports! The room was so spacious and well maintained, we would recommend it to anyone wishing to go to the Airlie Beach area.

As for Peppers Palm Bay, we had the time of our lives, it is truly a delightful place, and we had the best Bures on the beach with the wallabys visiting us every evening! Very entertaining. We took the helicopter trip to Langford Reef for a twilight picnic, then the cruise/fly trip to the reef and dived. Home to Peppers via the Heart Reef (!) - MAGICAL! All the transfers worked like clockwork, the staff at PPB could not have been more attentive. Our only sadness is that they are expanding the resort, this will take away the intimacy of the place, a real shame, but that is business. Our only critical observation of PPB was the food did not come up to expectations, though perfectly acceptable it lacked the finesse that the resort portrayed of it's cuisine. If you were not so far away, we would be regular visitors to Queensland!! Many thanks, good luck for 2005, it had been a delight to use you and your company, hurrah for the internet " Louise and Paul., Paris, France (15 Jan 05)

• "Hi Tina, Overall Peppers Palm Bay was great. The accomodation was very nice and comfortable, the service was good and the staff friendly. We look forward to booking with you again at another exciting destination in the future. Kind regards " Angela P., Sydney, Australia (12 Jan 05)

• "Dear Kylie, Thank you for all your help with our trip. We just got back last night and had a great time! Peppers Palm Bay was really great, it was truly wonderful. We were especially impressed with the food. It was delicious and a special event each night! Thanks again." Heather J., New York, USA (11 Jan 05)

• "Hi Zoe The trip was fantastic, but way too short! The biggest decisions we made were what time to have breakfast then whether to go to the beach or the pool, then when to hit the hammock! Peppers Palm Bay Retreat was lovely, we had one of the best Bure's (#2), and the helicopter transfer was a lovely start. The staff were great, but they were renovating the amenities room so we had some building noise, starting one morning at 7.30am, which was quite irritating (I would have thought this could have been done during winter?), and which also meant we couldn't have a shower there on the last day so there was no last minute swimming or sunbaking, and no offer of a late checkout instead.

The only other comments: o Jetstar take forever to unload the baggage, so while you arrive on time, you wait in the airport forever o The boat transfer back we had to go Long Island - Shute Harbour, change boats then Shute - Hamilton. I believe Peppers are going to get their own launch to do Long Island direct to Hamilton transfers, but in the meantime it seems to waste a lot of holiday time transferring (and the harbour at Shute is pretty awful to wait at). o Beware that while a fairly average breakfast is supplied as part of the package, the food & wine prices at Peppers are pretty high. We spent AUD$600 for 4 nights and we only had lunch or dinner and then only 2 courses, and we had taken our own wine. An all incl, or B'fast & dinner package would be great, seeing as there are no alternatives to eating at the retreat. Thanks for all your help" Karen R., Sydney, Australia (1 Oct 04)

• "Hi Zoe Just wanted to say a big thank you for recommending Peppers Palm Bay, it is heaven. Just wanted to let you know that maybe next time it's better for people to fly in to Airlie beach rather than Hamilton because you have to get a boat to Airlie to catch one to Long Island, the transfer is 4 hours with waiting times. Next time I will get the helicopter, anyway, it was thoroughly worth it and we had the best time " Jose S., Sydney, Australia (17 Sep 04)

Pepper's Palm Bay in the Whitsundays was like paradise! I have attached a photo of us at whitehaven beach. Thank you again for all of your help." Katherine B., LOndon - UK (26 Aug 04)

• "Zoe I would like to thank you SOOOO much for the absolutely amazing holiday you booked for us. I really could not believe Peppers Palm Bay when I first saw it. the resort itself was stunning, the staff were amazing and location just perfect. And I can commend the cocktails! We indulged in some diving with the Ragamuffin sailing boat which was excellent - a brilliant, fun crew We also played tennis, swum in the pool and walked the length of the island. The whole holidays itself was so much more than we expected - I have no negative feedback at all!!! Once again thanks so much...unfortunately we have not down-loaded any photos yet! Regards" Maria. L., Adelaide, Australia (6 Jul 04)

• "Zoe, the Peppers Palm Bay Resort was absolutely wonderful. very well designed and managed. It had a real feeling of remoteness, something we were searching for. Thanks for your help." Paul Von C., Sydney, Australia (27 Apr 04)

• "Hello Elisabete, Thank you very much... Very impressive service!! I had a very nice relaxing time up at Palm Bay. The weather was gorgeous and I don't look as deathly pale as I did when I arrived up there! Peppers Palm Bay itself was very pleasant, but there are a few things about it that mean I wouldn't go back there again.

Their advertising literature says that you can "expect luxurious accommodation". My accommodation was extremely basic (what you might expect from a very cheap motel) except, of course, that the scenery outside was gorgeous! However, I think it is very misleading of them to describe the accommodation as "luxurious"!

Food was also a bit of an issue as I am a vegetarian and they had very few, if any, vegetarian options. One of the best things I did up there was to go on a whale-watching day trip. We saw lots of whales, and at one point, the boat's engines were switched off and, for half an hour, eleven whales and some dolphins swam in circles around the boat. It was magic!

Your arrangements worked very well indeed - no hitches at all. Thank you very much for that! Although I wouldn't go back to Palm Bay again, I'll certainly go back to the Whitsundays one day, and I'll be in touch with you when I decide to do that (probably at about this time next year). Thank you very much for your very efficient and professional service! Best regards," Heather K., Sydney, Australia (19 Aug 03)

• "Hi Kylie, The holiday was AMAZING ! What can I say, the trip was unforgettable and I loved each place we visited as much as them all. Australia is one fabulous place and I want to visit again very soon.

Peppers Palm Bay Long Island was just like a postcard however my only slight moan would be they overcharge for food and drink (knowing they can get away with it because its the only choice) - however you did warn us of that so we wasn't too suprised..

I want to say what a brilliant job you did of arranging our trip. Everything was organised to perfection and professionally too. I have already recommended you and your company to a friend and will continue to do so. I can't thank you enough Kylie - you are one excellent travel consultant !!!!!

Thank you thank you again and take care, hope to speak to you soon for our next trip." Louise & Nick G., London, UK (4 May 03)

Thank you so much for all your help. The best things we did were hiring a helicopter for a champagne lunch on a deserted beach and also hiring a 38 ft. private catamaran for a day of sailing alone! Peppers coordinated all of it for us. Here is a link to our Australia pictures. Enjoy, " M.W., USA (22 Jan 03)

• "Hi Zoe, I have been meaning to email you since we got back. We had a wonderful time at Peppers Palm Bay resort and turned out to be the longest staying guests so far!! - We were upgraded to a buree which was great as the cabin was just too small to stay in for 12 nights. We loved the retreat and it was perfect for what we wanted - not commercial at all. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we spent quite a bit of time with them - the food was excellent as well....

Thanks again for organising the trip - we will definitely go back to the Whitsundays, but now we are really interested in looking next at Heron Island... Thanks again Zoe and I will definitely recommend you as an agent. " S.M., Sydney, Australia (10 Jan 03)

• "Zoe, Just wanted to let you know that we had an EXCELLENT time at Palm Bay Hideaway. It was perfect and I am glad we took your advice. The food, the staff, the cabin, all were amongst the best that Lance and I have encountered. Between the 2 of us we have travelled extensively throughout the world and Palm Bay Hideaway is on the top of our recommendation list. Thank you," V.V. & L.C. , Sydney, (5 Jun 02)
