Overview - Rhapsody of the Seas is based in Sydney, Australia until March 2012, when she has a refit in Singapore (for new dining venues and cabins). While in Australian waters she cruises to the Great Barrier Reef, and the Pacific islands of New Caledonia and Vanuatu. From May 2012 she is based in Seattle, offering 7-night cruises to the glacial fjords of Alaska, and the Inside Passage.

Accommodation - Staterooms come in 11 categories and 16 price grades, depending on position. All staterooms have twin beds (convertible to Queen), private bathroom, sitting area, TV, shower, vanity, hair dryer, safe, phone, computer jack and space for laptop, and mini bar. Some of the interior cabins have Pullman beds and can accommodate 3-4 guests. Oceanview staterooms with windows come in Large and Family, the latter accommodating up to 6 guests. Balcony staterooms provide ocean views through full-size sliding glass doors.

Travel in style with a selection of five categories of Suites inclusive of a bathtub, and sofa bed in the sitting area. Some suites come with complimentary concierge service and access to a private lounge and services to make reservations. Depending on the suite requirements, you may have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, whirlpool tub, private balcony, baby grand piano, sitting area, and accommodation for up to 8 guests. Smoking is only permitted on private ocean view balconies of balcony/suite staterooms. The ship has 20 handicap accessible staterooms, available in inside, outside and balcony categories.

Food & Dining - The main dining room is an elegant, two-level restaurant featuring a grand staircase. Traditional Dining allows preselection of your fixed dining time (main or second seating) for the duration of the cruise. Alternatively, My Time Dining reserve seating (and pre-paid gratuities) on a day-by-day basis. Families can sign up for My Family Time Dining - your children (aged 3 to 11) are served quickly and are taken by staff to the Adventure Ocean facilities - so you can enjoy a relaxed meal. Menus feature healthy, vegetarian and kosher options. Menus change daily throughout the cruise. For dining there are three distinct types of dress onboard: casual, smart casual and formal.

Alternative dining (pay extra) includes Chops Grille for steak and seafood, the Italian-style Portafino, menus enhanced by selected wines at California Vineyards, and fun along with dinner at the Mystery Dinner Theatre. The casual buffet Windjammer Cafe is open around the clock, and enjoy a good coffee along with pastries at Latte-tudes. Ben & Jerry's is the ice-cream bar. Drink package-deals can be ordered before the cruise. Room service is available 24-hours to all staterooms.

Entertainment & Activities - The three-decks-high Theatre presents Broadway-calibre productions. Find live music throughout the ship - Latin, Calypso, live jazz, orchestra and dance bands. A second venue hosts cabaret shows and late-night adult entertainment. Learn to dance (and be introduced to many other activities) by experts in the Explorer Academy program. Nightly onboard parties, games, contests, karaoke, bingo and gaming are all there.

Sports facilities include an outdoor sports deck, bungee trampolines, and massive suspension bridges spanning the Pool Deck. The Fitness Center has all the equipment that major sports clubs do. There is also a rock-climbing wall and climbing tuition. Every child's age-group is supervised by qualified educators. Teenagers have arcade games and YSPA self-care program. This vessel provides all the resources for a wonderful family holiday.
