GlobeNet Travel principals commenced operations in 1994 as a Brisbane-based American Express agency, expanding to become one of the largest independent travel agencies in Australia today..

With a philosophy that one has to experience it to sell it, our consultants quickly became authorities on resorts locally and expanding world-wide, while winning top awards along the way. In 2005 we became the inaugural Hall of Fame agency for Tourism Queensland's Sunlover Holidays and since then have also been Club Med Australasia's top agency, every year!

Increasingly now and on invitation, we attend international trade shows and cruise advisory boards, promoting the best interests of our clients and local travel industry partners.

When we launched Clean Cruising in 2007 as our specialist cruise division, our goal was simple - to help Australians "Find Their Dream Cruise Faster", BUT always at the best available daily price! How we do this always evolves but we focus on three ways to achieve it by...

Having won countless awards in Australia and internationally, our innovative approach to cruising has not gone unnoticed.

In October 2016 we were honoured with Helloworld Australia's top award for general travel while earlier, in February, the Cruise Lines International Association Inc. recognised us as their Australian "Online Agency of the Year" specifically for cruise. This award is judged by leading cruise lines on efforts to promote cruising, consultant training and growth in customer bookings.

Last year Luxury Travel Magazine readers voted us into their "Gold List", which features Australia's leading luxury travel agencies.We were also the only cruise agency becoming "Agency of the Year" finalists in the AFTA National Travel Industry Awards, voted on by Australia's travel operators.

Since then Andrew has personally experienced numerous cruise lines around the world, and in a travel career spanning 19 years, is one of the top 10 CLIA accredited, cruise agents in Australia.

Anna Russell Marketing Manager |?Cruise Master Anna draws on her years of consulting experience to enhance her Business (Tourism/Marketing) degree, and is now our Marketing Manager, helping get the best exclusives to our growing client base. She has travelled extensively herself, and is also one of Australia's top Club Med Specialists.

Athena Franks Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Master Athena enjoyed 7 years at Cunard Line, promoting the luxurious Queens (Victoria, Mary, Elizabeth), before moving into consulting with Globenet Travel's Clean Cruising team. Athena loves fine dining and exotic cruises and loves spoiling her clients with the same VIP treatment.

Benice Parkinson Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Master Benice just loves cruise holidays. She has been assisting clients with their holidays for over 10 years now but particularly likes planning family holidays. Benice?s favourite place to cruise so far is the Caribbean on Carnival Vista. Once day she would love to cross Alaska off her bucket list! Benice is also a Club Med specialist as well as a cruise specialist- so can assist with a range of different holiday styles.

Carli Fergusson Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Master Carli has an extensive background in customer service and sales and has been a South Pacific specialist for the past few years in retail and wholesale. She has the belief that the customer always comes first and wins clients over with her positivity and can do attitude.

Casey Russell Director Responsible for anything & everything that happens invisibly in the office, Casey is loved by all for his skills & good humour, always ready to help others out when their systems crash/stall/freeze etc.. The quiet achiever, he has been principal architect for mapping the world's cruise paths, providing instant cruise maps from complex itineraries. Also virtual cruise videos with virtual ship models as a side hobby, collecting the Google "Speedgeeker of the Year" Australia award along the way.

Ciaran O'Cearbhallain Team Leader | CLIA Cruise Ambassador Ciaran specializes in arranging large group tours and prior to that was consulting for 8 years in Ireland. He now plays a key role in our groups team and away from work he's a very keen sports fan.

Dan Russell Director Multi-skilled & passionate about travel, Dan has a ?hands on? approach. His vision with Clean Cruising is customer focused combining the best cruise website with the most talented and experienced cruise consultants in Australia. In his spare time he enjoys a mix of ski, camping and cruise holidays with his family.

Joanne McKeon Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Accredited Joanne was bitten by the travel bug after a few extended tripes overseas and it seemed right when she 'fell' into travel. Joanne has enjoyed roles in both corporate and retail travel, but enjoys the excitement that comes with planning holidays for her own clients. Kirin Greenland am Leader | CLIA Cruise Master After a trip to Disneyland as a child Kirin developed a love of travel and from then on always wanted to pursue her love of travel. Then graduating from TAFE with a Diploma of Tourism and Events management she was determined to get a job in travel. Since then she has gained extensive knowledge and an even bigger love of travelling and seeing the world. Kirin loves nothing more than hearing about the great times her clients have had on their trips.

Kylie Howard Senior Consultant | Cruise Specialist With an Associate Diploma of Business in Travel, Kylie has worked in the industry for 25 years and loves sharing her vast knowledge and travel experiences with her customers.

Lauren Macartney Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Accredited Lauren began working on cruise ships, and just knew it was the perfect way to travel in her 20s. Learni Ehrnholm Senior Consultant | CLIA Cruise Accredited With over 14 years in the travel industry, Learni's passion for the cruise holidays started in Mission beach where her parents owned a catamaran that went daily to Dunk Island and the Great Barrier Reef. She has travelled worldwide but her favourite region is Europe and the Mediterranean. Having lived in Europe/UK for 8 years before returning to Australia, her 7 years in tour operating and escorting tours helped her understand exactly what clients want on their holiday. Sarah Lee nior Consultant Support & Product and Marketing Sarah went on her first ever overseas trip which happened to be a cruise shortly after finishing high school, this began her love for travel and cruises in particular. After gaining a Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management she joined our graduate program, and we know in time she will become a wonderful consultant like her colleagues.

Tosh Russell Director Tosh is an original founder of the travel group, and 25 years on still leads by example while enjoying the challenges and achievements. From entry to Tourism Queensland's "Hall of Fame" in 2005 to being voted "Online Cruise Agency of the Year" for Australia in 2016, the awards are great to get, but less important to her than being surrounded by a happy team of professionals every day! Tosh is a big fan of small ship luxury cruising worldwide.

Tracey Bremner Office Manager | Cruise Ambassador Tracey has been in travel all her life and has enjoyed working in all aspects from retail, to corporate, to wholesale to airlines. She has loved travelling the world and shares her fantastic experiences with her clients, and in reverse being inspired with her clients travel. The best thing about the travel industry are the people and clients you work with, and the opportunity to travel and experience all of the fantastic products we sell.

Every cruise experience is precious. But so are all the destinations and people we visit along the way. For truly sustainable voyages, which future generations can also enjoy, everyone needs to play their part. That includes us, which is why we are actively involved in several sustainability initiatives as well as developement projects.

At Clean Cruising we have always held sustainability close to our heart. In fact, we created the world's first cruise sustainability program using our unique mapping technology to accurately calculate values. We then partnered with Carbon Neutral, a leading non-profit organisation, which has planted over 30 million native trees in Australia. The result: every cruise has an equivalent sustainability tree planting value for the benefit of concerned cruise goers.

Contributing to this program is an optional and voluntary choice offered to everyone who books with us. For just a few dollars extra, our great country (and the planet) will be a better place after your cruise.

We are also currently developing a strategy to halt the commercial harvesting of the Great Barrier Reef's coral. There are 59 operators licensed by the Queensland Government to mine 200 tons/year of rare, live and vulnerable coral for export. This practice is banned worldwide in regions such as the Philippines, Bali, Guam, Samoa, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Florida.

While we greatly value our sustainability projects, we also recognise that many people from poorer countries need a helping hand. As a result, we have developed our own educational initiative and are a proud supporter of Médecins Sans Frontières Australia.

We commenced our educational initiative in 2001, by sponsoring school children in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. Since then, we have expanded our sponsorship to children from small villages in Samoa, Solomon Islands and Sabah. These projects are self-funded by our company, staff and friends.

Our commitment to the community extends beyond our current initiatives. Every year we try to add a project, aimed at helping future generations in our region and promoting friendship with our neighbours of all races and religions.
